The mood of the country has shifted since the election.

Donald Trump’s second term will look very different than his first.

And Mark Zuckerberg will never recover from one word that Donald Trump said about him.

Mark Zuckerberg announces massive changes to Facebook’s censorship policy

President-elect Donald Trump had the system aligned against him after he launched his first campaign in 2016.

Big Tech companies tried to censor him and his supporters.

There’s been a change in how Big Tech reacted to Trump after his latest victory.

Instead of preparing for another all-out war against him, many companies have made peace with the fact that he’s going to be President for the next four years.

Trump has feuded with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg over the years and was banned for his social media platforms Instagram and Facebook after the 2020 Election.

Zuckerberg announced that he was getting rid of “fact-checking” on Facebook and Instagram after the fact-checkers became “too politically biased.”

“We’ve reached a point where it’s just too many mistakes and too much censorship,” Zuckerberg said in a video on Facebook. “The recent elections also feel like a cultural tipping point toward once again prioritizing speech. So we are going to get back to our roots, focus on reducing mistakes, simplifying our policies, and restoring free expression on our platforms.”

Censorship of certain topics like immigration and gender ideology is also going out the door.

Donald Trump has a surprising reason for Zuckerberg’s change of heart

Zuckerberg has tried to make peace with Trump before he took office.

The Meta CEO traveled to Mar-a-Lago to have dinner with the President-elect and donated $1 million to Trump’s inauguration.

Meta hired Joel Kaplan, former President George W. Bush’s White House Deputy Chief of Staff, to head Global Policy in a sign of how the times are changing.

“So I watched their news conference. And I thought it was a very good news conference,” Trump said about an appearance by Kaplan on Fox & Friends. I think they’ve come a long way. Mr. Facebook. I think they’ve come a long way. I watched it. The man was very impressive. I watched it actually. I watched it on Fox. I’m not allowed to say that.”

Trump held a press conference at Mar-a-Lago where a reporter asked him about the shift in his relationship with Zuckerberg.

He threatened that Zuckerberg would “spend the rest of his life in prison” if he meddled in the 2024 Election in his book Save America which was released last year.

“Do you think he’s directly responding to the threats that you have made to him in the past with promises?” a reporter asked Trump.

“Probably,” Trump said. “Yeah, probably.

“Honestly, I think they have come a long way, Meta, Facebook” Trump added.

Mark Zuckerberg was a pain in the neck for Donald Trump for nearly a decade.

Trump’s relationship with him and Big Tech appears that it will be different in his second term.
