One jaw-dropping confession about January 6 tumbled out of Nancy Pelosi’s mouth

Democrats have been smearing Donald Trump as an “insurrectionist.”

It’s all based on the Capitol Hill riot.

But one jaw-dropping confession about January 6 tumbled out of Nancy Pelosi’s mouth.

Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), as the then-House Speaker, led the establishment witch hunt against Donald Trump following the Capitol Hill riot.

She empaneled the January 6th House Select Committee, and blocked the Republican leader at the time, former California Congressman Kevin McCarthy from having his choices for GOP members to sit on the committee.

Pelosi playing games

McCarthy surprised many when he chose actual conservatives – Representative Jim Banks (R-IN) and Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) – to be the Republican members of the committee, but Pelosi broke from Congressional norms and would not allow McCarthy’s picks.

Instead, she hand-picked two rabid anti-Trump Republicans who are both no longer in Congress, former Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger and former Utah Congresswoman Liz Cheney.

Cheney got smoked in her primary race, and Illinois Democrats gerrymandered Kinzinger’s district out of existence.

Pelosi did not want two pitbulls on the J6 committee asking uncomfortable questions, such as how the Capitol security was so porous that day.

Now a video of Pelosi on January 6th is raising questions because, based on Pelosi’s shocking words on camera, she had that exact same question at the time.

Pelosi’s daughter just so happened to be filming a documentary that day, and on camera, the Congresswoman said to her Chief of Staff Terri McCullough, “We have responsibility, Terri. We did not have any accountability for what was going on there. And we should have. This is ridiculous. You’re going to ask me in the middle of the thing when they’ve already breached . . . that, should we call the Capitol Police—I mean the National Guard? Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with? . . . They clearly didn’t know, and I take responsibility for not having them just prepared for [muffled word].”

And the Oscar goes to…

It’s unclear if Pelosi said “war” or “more” at the end of the clip due to her mask.

But “I take responsibility” is clear and an amazing thing for Pelosi to say on two different, significant levels.

First, she knows she’s being recorded, so her comments are calculated.

But even though Pelosi is “tak[ing] responsibility” in this clip, the J6 committee never seriously looked into security failures.

In fact, the “Blue Team,” which was in charge of investigating security failures on January 6, was effectively mothballed.

The committee wanted to remain laser-focused on Trump.

Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund told Tucker Carlson in a 2023 interview, “Congress passed a law that requires me to go to the Sergeant-at-arms Capitol Police Board in advance of an event to request federal resources such as the National Guard. So Congress passed a law—it’s 2 U.S. Code § 1970—look it up. Just make sure you look it up before December 22 when they changed it—so what was in effect on the sixth. That requires me to go and get approval for bringing National Guard or federal assistance in advance. I have to go to the Capitol Police Board and get approval from Congressional leadership in advance, like I did on January 3rd. I was denied twice because of optics and because intelligence didn’t support it.”

Carlson questioned, “Who made that decision? Who denied you?”

Sund answered, “I was denied by Paul Irving, House Sergeant-at-arms, and also Mike Stenger, Senate Sergeant-at-arms.”

“And who do they work for?” Carlson asked.

Sund replied, “Pelosi on the House side…And then McConnell on the Senate side.”

So if Pelosi really wants to know why the National Guard was not there on January 6, she can look in the mirror.

Sund added, “I’m the only chief of police in the United States that has a law preventing me—not just regulations, rules that say I gotta go get approval to bring in the National Guard—but a law. Even while we’re under attack, I have to go to those same two people [Irving and Stenger] to request the National Guard to be brought in. I have 340 National Guard that have been activated. At least 150 to 180 of those are in the city, many of them within eyesight of the Capitol, okay? We come under attack at 12:53. [At] 12:55, I call the Washington, D.C. Police Department…[At] 12:58, I make my first call to the Sergeant-at-arms asking, saying, ‘Hey, it’s bad we need assistance. I need a declaration of emergency. I need to bring in the military immediately, and federal resources. I’m told by Paul Irving, ‘I’m gonna run it up the chain. I’ll get back to you.’”

Carlson summarized, “The chain is Pelosi.”

Pelosi’s “I take responsibility” routine was all for show.
