Democrats are continuing their lawfare strategy against Donald Trump.

They don’t even want the American people to have the choice to vote for him.

And the Judge in Trump’s election case just issued one jaw-dropping ruling.

The Georgia election case against Donald Trump is on thin ice.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis became the center of attention when she hired Prosecutor Nathan Wade to work the case despite virtually no criminal trial experience.

It turned out that Willis had been having an affair with Wade, and the two went on lavish vacations on the taxpayers’ dime.

Willis or Wade

Judge Scott McAfee ordered a hearing as to whether or not Willis should be removed from the case based on her conduct.

But after disastrous testimony from Willis, Judge McAfee ruled that Willis could remain on the case so long as Wade was dismissed.

And Wade fell on his sword to allow Willis to continue with her prosecution of Trump.

McAfee wrote, “As the case moves forward, reasonable members of the public could easily be left to wonder whether the financial exchanges have continued resulting in some form of benefit to the District Attorney, or even whether the romantic relationship has resumed…Put differently, an outsider could reasonably think that the District Attorney is not exercising her independent professional judgment totally free of any compromising influences. As long as Wade remains on the case, this unnecessary perception will persist.”

Judge McAfee reasoned that Willis and Wade’s dubious claims about payments and cash reimbursements were not entirely unbelievable, but concluded that “an odor of mendacity remains.”

Willis gets to move forward as lead prosecutor, but the Judge said that the defendants had the right to seek a gag order because he said that Willis’s speech before a church assailing her political opponents was “legally improper.”

Judge rebukes conduct

Judge McAfee wrote, “Every newly minted prosecutor should be instilled with the notion that she seeks justice over convictions and that she may strike hard blows but never foul ones.”

Despite Willis’s near miss, Judge McAfee was not pleased with her conduct.

He added, “This finding is by no means an indication that the Court condones this tremendous lapse in judgment or the unprofessional manner of the District Attorney’s testimony during the evidentiary hearing.”

Willis gets to push forward, but the scandal alone might have damaged the case long-term.

Trump has clear grounds for an appeal considering one of the prosecutors on the case was just removed.
