Randi Weingarten voted to abolish ICE and strip parental rights at her teachers union convention.
Now a conservative education expert has gone on Fox News to reveal exactly how Weingarten plans to make that happen inside American classrooms.
A teacher training plot to turn students against their parents just got exposed – and it is already running in 22 states.
Ethnic Studies Curriculum in 22 States Teaches Teachers That Parenting Is Adultism
PragerU CEO Marissa Streit walked into a Fox News Digital interview holding a teacher training manual called Lessons in Liberation: An Abolitionist Toolkit for Educators.
The book pushes anti-capitalism, rejects adult authority over children, and treats Critical Race Theory as foundational truth – and teachers in more than 22 states are being trained on it right now.
Streit opened it on camera and introduced America to a word most grandparents have never encountered: adultism.
The concept originated in academic sociology, but radical activists have injected it into teacher training programs now spreading across the country.
Setting clothing rules for a child is now classified as adultism, and telling a teenager that early sexual activity is inappropriate earns the same label.
Refuse to approve a gender change for a minor and this curriculum calls it "fascism" or tyranny.
"[Ethnic studies] teaches the teacher to tell the student that the term adultism is a negative thing," Streit told Fox News Digital.
"When an adult is behaving like an adult by telling their child that the child should not dress a certain way or have sex at an early age or even request sex or gender changes," she continued, "the parent is engaging in adultism."
The book removes all ambiguity – it declares that adults holding authority over children's choices is itself oppression.
A June report from the San Francisco Chronicle noted that local school workshops generated significant controversy over adultism, with training presentations claiming the student-educator relationship is oppressive by its very nature.
This is not a California experiment anymore – Minnesota just mandated ethnic studies instruction for all K-12 students starting in the 2026-27 school year, and California requires it as a graduation requirement.
More than 22 states are actively implementing or endorsing this curriculum – the same DEI, social-emotional learning, and Critical Race Theory agenda that lost public support, now repackaged under a label designed to avoid scrutiny.
Conservative watchdog group Defending Education recently found DEI principles being embedded directly into teachers union policies on artificial intelligence – evidence this is a coordinated campaign, not a fringe movement.
Randi Weingarten and the AFT Just Voted to Abolish ICE and Strip Parental Notification Rights
Streit specifically cited the American Federation of Teachers – led by Randi Weingarten – for opposing parental notification when children undergo gender transitions at school, a stance the AFT frames as protecting students from "forced outing" and one that directly defies President Trump's executive order affirming biological sex.
The AFT's July 18 convention made that defiance concrete.
Weingarten's union passed two resolutions: one calling for the abolition of ICE, and another designed to block parents from knowing when government schools transition their children.
This is the same union that colluded with the Biden administration to keep government school doors locked through the COVID pandemic – delivering a generation of American children a learning deficit they are still climbing out of.
Trump signed Executive Order 14190, "Ending Radical Indoctrination in K-12 Schooling," on January 29, 2025, directing federal agencies to defund schools promoting gender ideology and anti-American indoctrination.
The Left's response was to rebrand the same agenda as "ethnic studies" and accelerate the rollout.
Critical Race Theory and School Indoctrination Are the DSA Blueprint to Dismantle America
"The ultimate goal is the DSA platform," Streit told Fox News Digital, "and that is to radically transform America."
Democratic Socialists of America officials have publicly called for dismantling the U.S. Senate and rewriting the Constitution as Americans know it.
Dismantling the Senate requires first dismantling the family.
"They have to break the bond between a child and the parent," Streit said. "They have to break the bond between a parent and the community."
The playbook is not new – it mirrors exactly what socialist governments deployed in Cuba and Venezuela, where manufactured family distrust and collective grievance preceded total political seizure.
"Imagine you're training these teachers and the teachers are taking this to America's classrooms," Streit warned. "Within a few years, you have radical Marxists graduating from our schools, believing that America should be dismantled from within."
Weingarten's union is recruiting teachers to carry that manual into government school classrooms across 22 states, funded by American taxpayers.
This is not a curriculum disagreement.
It is a deliberate effort to make American children see their parents as the enemy – and the manual they are using just got exposed on live television.
