Joy Behar Unloaded on America During the Run-Up to Its 250th Birthday

Joy Behar pockets $7 million a year from ABC to hate America on television.

With July 4th fast approaching, she went on The View and couldn't help herself.

And Behar's rant pulled the curtain back on what Democrats really think about patriotism.

Joy Behar Says She Is Embarrassed to Be American on The View

Trump hosted a UFC fight on the White House South Lawn on June 14 as part of the lead-up to America's 250th anniversary – a celebration the Left has been trying to hijack ever since.

Comedian Larry David was asked about it at the Hollywood premiere of his new HBO show, and he called it "a travesty" and said he was "embarrassed to be an American."

Joy Behar pulled up that clip on The View, introduced David as her old pal, and waited for the applause to die down.

She nodded along and said David was "right in many ways."

Then she doubled down later in the same episode.

"I have to say that I'm embarrassed for this country the way he's been treating immigrants," Behar told her audience of millions.

"And of course Larry is embarrassed to be an American. In that way, we should all be."

Every American watching should be embarrassed – Joy Behar said so herself.

Joy Behar thinks every American watching should be ashamed of the country that lets her make millions flapping her gums on tv.

Sunny Hostin Called America a Failed Experiment and ABC Said Nothing

This wasn't a slip.

The View has been running the same play for months as America heads into its 250th birthday.

Just three weeks ago, co-host Sunny Hostin called the United States a "failed experiment" on the same program – the one she earns millions from.

The White House responded directly, with spokesman Davis Ingle calling Hostin "an extremely unlikable, talentless hack" suffering from "Trump Derangement Syndrome."

ABC said nothing. The show continued without interruption.

That is the tell.

These women are not going off-script. This is the script.

ABC greenlit this formula years ago: hire women who got rich in America, hand them a national platform, and watch them burn the country down every morning in front of millions.

The trigger this time was Trump's UFC Freedom 250 event – and Behar used it to dust off the left's most dishonest immigration lie: "He's been separating kids from their families."

That claim has been disputed by courts and reporting for years. Behar repeated it anyway.

She wrapped it in a story about her Italian immigrant ancestors and missed the irony entirely.

Her family came to America legally, worked hard, and became proud citizens.

The illegal aliens Democrats want to protect are not her family's story. They never were.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin was the lone voice of sanity, saying she was "very, very proud to be an American" and pointing to World Cup tourists who arrived from around the world and fell in love with the country The View spent the morning trashing.

Sara Haines also refused to go along, telling Behar flatly: "I refuse to hand over my patriotism."

Joy Behar Net Worth and the Hypocrisy of Hating the Country That Made Her Rich

Joy Behar is 83 years old.

Nearly 30 years on ABC made her a very wealthy woman – a Hamptons estate worth $4.75 million, a Manhattan apartment worth another $2.4 million. In her own words, the main thing keeping her on The View is "money."

Now she wants to tell the teacher, the truck driver, the veteran, the factory worker – that they should be embarrassed to be American.

The people who never got the Hamptons house, never got the ABC contract, never got the platform – they're the ones who should hang their heads, according to Joy Behar.

Trump threw a birthday party for the nation he was elected to lead.

Joy Behar told America it was a humiliation.

One of them is right. The other one banks $7 million a year to say otherwise.
