North Carolina Just Handed Democrats a Massive Loss in This Election Integrity Fight

Democrats spent seven years and every legal trick they had to stop this.

A North Carolina judge just ended it.

What she ordered election officials to do to the voter rolls is the one thing the left made absolutely sure never happened – until now.

Democrats Blocked Noncitizen Voter Removal for Seven Years

North Carolina Republicans passed Senate Bill 250 in 2019 on a party-line vote.

The bill was straightforward: if someone tells a court they are not a U.S. citizen to get out of jury duty, election officials check whether that person is also registered to vote.

Then-North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper vetoed it.

His own State Board of Elections had already admitted publicly it had no regular process to identify and remove illegal aliens from voter rolls.

Nineteen foreign nationals had just been charged with voting illegally in North Carolina.

Cooper killed the bill anyway, saying it "creates a high risk of voter harassment and intimidation and could discourage citizens from voting."

Republicans couldn't override the veto.

So the illegal aliens stayed on the rolls.

The RNC Sued North Carolina Over Noncitizen Voting – and Election Officials Went Silent

A different North Carolina law – passed after Cooper left office – required county court clerks to report jury exemptions based on noncitizenship to election officials.

The RNC and the North Carolina Republican Party filed a public records request to find out whether the State Board of Elections was complying.

No response.

So Republicans sued.

RNC Chairman Joe Gruters spelled out the logic in plain English.

"It's straightforward: if someone admits they're not a U.S. citizen during jury duty, that information should be used to check the voter rolls and remove anyone who doesn't belong."

Superior Court Judge Jennifer Bedford approved the consent judgment last week.

"This type of information, I think the General Assembly has made somewhat clear, should not fall on deaf ears."

It had been falling on deaf ears for years.

What the Court Just Ordered North Carolina to Do to Its Voter Rolls

The agreement runs through 2028.

County clerks will hand over records identifying individuals who claimed noncitizen status to dodge jury service.

The State Board of Elections has 30 days from receiving those records to cross-reference the voter rolls, flag any matches, and put county officials on notice.

If evidence points to someone who cast a ballot before becoming a citizen, the case goes straight to the State Bureau of Investigation and local prosecutors.

Marc Elias Showed Up to Fight the Voter Roll Purge – and Lost

The Elias Law Group – Marc Elias's Democrat-aligned firm that has fought virtually every election integrity effort in the country – showed up to object.

Their clients were two activist groups: North Carolina Asian Americans Together and El Pueblo.

Their argument was privacy.

They claimed that publishing certain records on the State Board of Elections website could discourage people from seeking jury exemptions.

Democrats are worried that people who told a court they aren't U.S. citizens will be discouraged from seeking jury exemptions – because election officials might notice they're also registered to vote.

The court moved forward anyway.

The Election Integrity Question Democrats Keep Refusing to Answer

Heritage Action polling shows 83% of North Carolina Republicans, 59% of Independents, and 52% of Democrats support removing illegal aliens from voter rolls.

Majorities in every category.

Socialist Democrats fight it in every state anyway.

The SAVE Act – which would have required proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections – failed in the Senate last month after Democrats blocked it.

Heritage Foundation analysts made the point plainly: noncitizen voting is already a federal crime, and the political class keeps finding reasons not to enforce the law.

North Carolina just ran out of excuses.

Roy Cooper killed this in 2019.

Marc Elias's lawyers filed objections in court last week.

They lost every time.

Democrats want you to believe noncitizen voting doesn't happen.

But if it doesn't happen – why did they fight this hard to stop anyone from checking?

The RNC has the same litigation running in Arizona and is defending Trump's executive order on proof-of-citizenship requirements nationwide.

Every state where Republicans sue and win is another state where the question gets answered.

And Democrats keep providing the answer themselves every time they lawyer up to stop the count.
