Merrick Garland sent more than 30 FBI agents to ransack Mar-a-Lago, and the photos they staged went viral within hours.
Now 70 FBI photos of Biden's classified searches are finally public – after years of Biden's lawyers fighting to keep them hidden.
What those photos prove about the FBI's method is more damning than Merrick Garland ever wanted America to see.
FBI Photos from the Mar-a-Lago Raid Prove Agents Staged the Evidence
The FBI did not just search Mar-a-Lago on August 8, 2022.
They built a set.
Before snapping photos, agents deliberately placed classified cover sheets on top of Trump's documents – fabricating the appearance of a grave national security threat for cameras before a single charge had been considered.
Those images hit every newsroom in the country within hours.
The Oversight Project, the government watchdog that fought the DOJ in court for years to pry these photos loose, calls it exactly what it was: a political hit job designed to convict Trump in the court of public opinion before a single charge was filed.
"Two completely different postures – one designed to protect a reputation, the other to destroy one," the watchdog told The Federalist.
The staging was no accident.
Assistant Attorney General George Toscas had already brushed aside FBI concerns about the raid's optics.
An August 4, 2022 email uncovered by Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley shows an FBI agent explicitly warning that any search of Mar-a-Lago needed to be executed "in a professional, low-key manner."
Toscas reportedly said he didn't "give a damn about the optics."
More than 30 plain-clothes agents arrived anyway, spending nine hours combing through all 126 rooms of Trump's south Florida estate.

Those FBI photos of Biden's classified searches tell a very different story.
National security documents labeled "Iraq/Syria '14" and "Russia briefings" were sitting in bins in an unsecured mudroom – a used glove and garbage can within arm's reach.
Biden stored other classified materials in the garage he made famous during the investigation – unsecured, open to anyone who walked through, next to bikes and yard tools.
And then there was the desk drawer.
Biden's classified national defense material – including a Vice Presidential binder from his Obama-era tenure, when he had zero legal authority to declassify anything – was crammed in a drawer right next to his book publisher contract.
Promise Me, Dad netted Biden millions.
The Oversight Project says the photos establish that Biden did not simply mishandle documents by accident.
"This establishes that Biden not only removed classified information from the White House when he left as Vice President (18 USC 1924), but he did so for the purpose of disclosing that information (18 USC 798) to make money," the watchdog said in a statement to The Federalist.
Federal courts in 2026 finally forced their release – over the objections of Biden's own lawyers.
Special Counsel Robert Hur had already admitted in his own report that Biden "willfully retained" classified notebooks knowing he was not permitted to do so.
His decision not to charge Biden came down to one sentence: Hur said Biden would likely present himself to a jury as a "sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory."
Trump faced 40 felony counts for the same category of conduct.
Biden got a courtesy visit and kept the book money.
Biden is not even the first Democrat to walk away from a classified documents scandal with a slap on the wrist.
Sandy Berger, Bill Clinton's national security adviser, physically stuffed classified documents into his pants at the National Archives, hid them under a construction trailer, and destroyed some of them.
Berger received probation and a $50,000 fine.
David Petraeus gave eight classified notebooks to his mistress, lied to the FBI about it, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor, and walked away with probation and a $100,000 fine.
The politically connected have always landed softly while the system reserves its maximum force for whoever threatens the establishment's grip on power.
What is different now is that 70 photographs prove exactly how that calculation gets made – who gets staged cover sheets and who gets courteous gloves – and the Oversight Project is demanding that Biden hand back every dollar Promise Me, Dad ever earned.
