The FBI put Bill Barr – the sitting Attorney General of the United States – on a list of Russian disinformation "conduits."
They stamped it with a "no objection" designation and buried the evidence that proved Biden was the one with the foreign corruption problem.
Now Jim Jordan has the declassified documents and he just told Kash Patel exactly what he wants next.
The FBI Spreadsheet That Branded Republican Senators Russian Disinformation Conduits
The White House Government Transparency Task Force released the documents last month.
FBI analysts running a secret counterintelligence operation codenamed Round River compiled a spreadsheet listing more than 70 prominent Americans. The spreadsheet divided them into two neat columns – exactly along party lines.
Democrats – Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Barack Obama, George Soros – were listed as "targets" of Russian disinformation. Victims in need of protection.
Republicans – Attorney General Bill Barr, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Senators Chuck Grassley, Ron Johnson, and Lindsey Graham, and House chairmen Devin Nunes and Jim Jordan – were labeled "conduits" spreading Russian propaganda.
Every single designation was rubber-stamped by the FBI's Foreign Influence Task Force at bureau headquarters with a "no objection" notation.
Jim Jordan was doing his job. He was investigating the Biden family's corrupt dealings with Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company that paid Hunter Biden millions. The FBI was not investigating those dealings. It was investigating Jordan for investigating them.
How the FBI Buried 14 Confidential Sources Reporting Biden Corruption to Burisma
The FBI had the evidence in hand. Sources inside the intelligence community had been filing reports on Biden family corruption since 2015. By the time Round River was running, the bureau had identified at least 14 informants providing derogatory information about the Bidens and their Ukraine business.
FBI analysts did not evaluate that evidence. They went back into the source files and added new intelligence products designed to make those long-term sources look fabricated – turning credible witnesses into suspected Russian plants.
One informant described $100 million bribes and CIA pressure on Ukrainian prosecutors to drop the Burisma case. Another had direct contact with Hunter Biden himself.
The DNI's own 2025 review confirmed that FBI analysts never attempted to determine whether any of the Ukraine allegations were actually true before dismissing them as Russian propaganda.
They did not investigate. They buried.
Jim Jordan Demands the Full Round River File From Kash Patel
This week, Jordan sent a formal document demand to FBI Director Kash Patel. He wants everything – all documents and communications related to Round River, the full reporting from 53 confidential human sources, and specifically how the FBI handled the 14 informants who had been providing derogatory information on the Bidens.
Patel has already confirmed the bureau has identified tens of thousands of pages responsive to these requests. He has also confirmed that the Foreign Influence Task Force that ran Round River has been shut down and is now under active FBI investigation.
Patel's letter to the White House task force flagged a specific problem: the FBI was giving "defensive briefings" to congressional investigators – including Jordan – warning them that the Biden corruption allegations they were pursuing were Russian disinformation.
He expressed concern that those briefings were focused on steering Congress away from Biden and Ukraine rather than giving lawmakers a complete picture of foreign threats.
In other words, the FBI called Jordan into a room, told him he was chasing Russian propaganda, and sent him back to explain to voters why he was dropping the Biden investigation.
How Round River and Crossfire Hurricane Turned the FBI Into a Democrat Protection Racket
The FBI had already shown exactly what it was willing to do.
Crossfire Hurricane – the FBI's 2016 counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign – was launched on what federal prosecutor John Durham later found to be "raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence."
It relied on a Democrat Party-funded dossier that Christopher Steele later admitted he could not verify. It produced FISA warrants the Justice Department's own Inspector General found riddled with errors. Peter Strzok ran the investigation while texting about an "insurance policy" against Trump winning.
Round River was the same operation with the targets reversed. In 2016, the FBI investigated a Republican presidential campaign on behalf of a Democrat-funded dossier while ignoring actual evidence of Democrat wrongdoing. In 2020, it actively suppressed a Biden corruption scandal its own informants had been documenting for five years – and branded everyone who reported on it a Russian spy.
A senior FBI official on the Foreign Influence Task Force described herself in September 2020 as "basically running a shadow government inside the FBI right now."
The FBI did not stumble into political bias. Its own people were bragging about it while they did it.
Jordan has the declassified paper trail and the subpoena power to find out who gave the orders. Patel has the files. The American people have been waiting six years for someone to get those two things in the same room.
