Democrats spent four years hiding a man who couldn't finish a sentence.
Now the same party wants you to worry about Donald Trump's mental fitness.
Greg Gutfeld just pulled out the one fact Democrats cannot answer.
Democrats Lost the Right to Question Anyone's Mental Fitness After the Biden Cognitive Decline Cover-Up
On The Five, liberal host Jessica Tarlov cited a poll claiming 48% of Americans believe Trump is experiencing cognitive decline.
Greg Gutfeld didn't blink.
"Too bad. No credibility. You lost it. You had no commission on sanity when Biden was in."
Then he twisted the knife.
"Donald Trump could come to the White House dressed as an ostrich, right? And he could be flapping around – there's nothing you can do about it because you guys covered up for a demented patient."
Tarlov went quiet.
Democrats don't get to play the cognitive fitness card anymore. They burned it in 2020 when they told you Biden was sharp.
They burned it again in 2021, 2022, and 2023 while Biden's own doctors "recklessly never conducted a cognitive exam" on the sitting President of the United States.
The House Oversight Committee spent months documenting exactly what happened. The staff report – The Biden Autopen Presidency: Decline, Delusion, and Deception in the White House – showed that senior aides made executive decisions Biden never authorized, that his personal physician issued "grossly misleading" health assessments to the public, and that the people closest to him ran a coordinated operation to keep voters from knowing the truth.
This wasn't a mistake. It was a deliberate conspiracy to gaslight 330 million Americans about who was actually running the country.
Raskin Introduced a 25th Amendment Bill With 50 Co-Sponsors and Zero Chance of Passing
Rep. Jamie Raskin earlier this month introduced legislation with 50 Democrat co-sponsors to create a commission empowered to remove Trump under the 25th Amendment – while simultaneously demanding the White House physician conduct a "comprehensive cognitive assessment" of the president.
The White House response was surgical.
"President Trump's sharpness, unmatched energy, and historic accessibility stand in stark contrast to what we saw during the past four years when Democrats like Raskin intentionally covered up Joe Biden's serious mental and physical decline from the American people," White House spokesperson Davis Ingle said.
Raskin's bill is going nowhere. Republicans control the House, and the 25th Amendment has never ended a presidency in American history. Even Democrats privately concede it.
So why do it?
Because it's the same playbook Democrats run every time they can't beat Trump on the merits. When his record on the economy, the border, and illegal immigration is hard to argue with, they go after the man instead.
Tarlov gave it away herself on The Five: she'd "much rather focus on the grocery prices and the stuff that wins elections." Even she knows this argument is a dead end.
Democrats Have Tried to 25th Amendment Trump Before and It Has Never Worked
Nancy Pelosi raised 25th Amendment questions about Trump in October 2020 – weeks before the election – after he was hospitalized with COVID-19. Nothing came of it.
After January 6, at least two Cabinet members reportedly discussed invoking the amendment before concluding it wasn't viable.
Democrats impeached Trump twice without securing a Senate conviction either time.
The pattern is clear. When policy fails them, Democrats go after Trump's fitness, his character, or his legal exposure.
Each time, Trump survives. Each time, the attacks remind voters that Democrats are more interested in removing him than in governing.
Sen. John Cornyn put it plainly at the Senate Judiciary hearing he co-chaired into the Biden cover-up: "There was a conspiracy to hide" what Biden's decline actually looked like – and every Democrat on the committee boycotted rather than answer for it.
They forfeited this argument the moment they looked America in the eye and said Joe Biden was fine. Greg Gutfeld reminded everyone watching The Five exactly what that cost them.
