Former Clinton Official Demanded Democrats Steal Elon Musk Companies as Payback

Democrats never forgave Elon Musk for what he did to their federal workforce with DOGE

Now one of Clinton's own men just handed Democrats a blueprint for revenge.

What Robert Reich called for on his podcast has a name and Americans watched it destroy Venezuela.

Democrats Are Now Calling to Nationalize SpaceX and Starlink

Former Clinton Secretary of Labor Robert Reich now teaches public policy at Berkeley and feeds proposals directly to Democrat organizers and megadonors.

He used his podcast, The Coffee Klatch, to call on Democrats to "defund Musk" – and then went further.

Reich told his audience Democrats should be "starting this, not just with Oversight hearings but also laying the groundwork for nationalizing Starlink and SpaceX."

Then came the real ask: "Nationalize it!"

He demanded the companies become public corporations, insisting America should "not ever have that kind of power in one person's hands."

Hugo Chavez made the same argument before seizing over 1,500 private companies in Venezuela – oil giants, steel mills, glass manufacturers, banks, farms, even vacation homes.

Exxon Mobil and ConocoPhillips had their Venezuelan operations stripped and handed to the government.

By 2019, 370,000 of the businesses operating in Venezuela in 1998 were gone – sixty percent of the entire private sector.

That is what nationalization looks like – not a policy debate, a graveyard.

When Reich calls for it on a podcast and his cohost enthusiastically agrees, Democrat organizers and megadonors are taking notes.

Reich Is Not the Only Democrat Coming for Musk

Reich's nationalization call did not come out of nowhere.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett promised in June 2025 to subpoena Musk the moment Democrats took the House majority, telling MSNBC, "We can absolutely bring Elon Musk in."

Sen. Richard Blumenthal, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, told reporters last week he would launch a full investigation into Musk and DOGE if Democrats win the Senate.

Rep. Robert Garcia, who leads Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, announced plans to probe Musk's role at DOGE, SpaceX's NASA contracts, and the Starshield controversy in Ukraine.

Musk posted his answer on X: "Those who pick fights with me should understand that I will find out who is really pulling the strings and come for them, not just their puppets."

Reich just put nationalization on the list.

Robert Reich Attacked Musk and Never Mentioned Reid Hoffman

On his podcast, Reich called Musk "exhibit A" of the "billionaire takeover" of America – then accused him of "trying to buy the senator from Texas."

He called Musk a "robber baron" – worse than the original ones – and never mentioned Big Tech billionaire Reid Hoffman.

Hoffman, the LinkedIn co-founder, visited Jeffrey Epstein's private island and has poured $11.5 million into Lone Star Rising – the super PAC bankrolling Democrat James Talarico's Senate bid against GOP nominee Ken Paxton.

Talarico outraised Paxton more than four to one – over $70 million against Paxton's roughly $17 million.

His platform calls for banning super PACs – while his campaign runs on money from a billionaire who visited Epstein's island.

By October 2026, Starlink had more than 11,000 spacecraft in orbit and 13.6 million subscribers – including the Department of Defense, maritime operators, and aviation users worldwide.

The Pentagon controls Starshield – the government's version of the network – and sets its speed and operational restrictions.

Hand those companies to federal bureaucrats and they are suddenly responsible for keeping astronauts alive in orbit while managing the satellite network the U.S. military depends on – without the man who built any of it.

SpaceX's IPO created millionaires out of thousands of employees, and Musk announced plans to give every American child a share of the company.

Reich's definition of oligarchy, it turns out, has a partisan exception built into it.

He skipped over Hoffman's $11.5 million entirely – and the $2 million George Soros's son quietly routed into a Texas political committee.

Democrats have lost every argument against Musk, so the new plan is to confiscate his companies.

What Reich described is not a policy debate – it is Venezuela, and Americans already watched that experiment play out.

The midterms are November 3, and Reich just handed every conservative voter the clearest reason yet to show up. Democrats are not hiding it anymore.
