Biden's Justice Department spent years telling America the 2020 election was beyond reproach.
Trump just declassified the files that prove it wasn't.
What one defiant FBI agent put in writing before Biden's team killed the case is something the Justice Department buried for four years.
Biden's DOJ Blocked the GBI Strategies Voter Fraud Investigation From the Start
FBI agents investigating a voter registration scheme in Muskegon, Michigan interviewed canvassers working for GBI Strategies – a Democrat-aligned firm that dropped between 8,000 and 10,000 registration forms on the city clerk weeks before the 2020 election.
Those canvassers told agents directly that supervisors instructed them to fill out fake applications when they couldn't hit their daily quotas.
One canvasser described a supervisor picking up a blank form and demonstrating exactly how to fabricate a person – making up a name, a Social Security number, an address.
She estimated she personally submitted 100 fake voter registrations.
Another worker said he never collected a single real name during his time on the job – he sat in his car and wrote down friends' and relatives' names to fill his clipboard.
Muskegon had roughly 28,500 registered voters at the time.
FBI investigators ran database checks on a sample of 107 applications flagged as suspicious – and found 91 of those 107 individuals did not exist in any database.
Of the 16 who could be verified as real people, only four had signatures that matched.
The Muskegon City Clerk flagged the irregularities in October 2020.
Michigan State Police launched an investigation, executed a search warrant on GBI Strategies' Southfield office, and handed the case to the FBI when it became clear the firm was operating across multiple states.
That's when Biden's Justice Department got involved – and the investigation stalled.
Biden DOJ Told FBI Agents to Stand Down on 2020 Michigan Voter Registration Fraud
The Justice Department's Public Integrity Section – the unit specifically tasked with prosecuting election crimes – initially refused to authorize a full investigation into the voter registration fraud.
In March 2021, a DOJ Criminal Division official wrote to FBI agents telling them the department did not concur with an investigation "focused purely on the voter registration fraud" that Michigan authorities had already documented.
The only angle DOJ would approve was a narrow probe into the debit cards GBI Strategies used to pay its canvassers.
By November 2021, the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Western District of Michigan and the FBI Detroit office had decided not to seek "further investigative or prosecutive action."
One FBI agent refused to let it die quietly.
In June 2022, he sent a detailed memo to DOJ raising the alarm that the voter registration fraud allegations had never received a full investigation – the exact kind the bureau's own prosecution guidelines said this case warranted.
His argument worked, partially – the Public Integrity Section eventually authorized agents to run database checks and conduct canvasser interviews, which stretched into 2023.
Those interviews produced the 302 memos now public for the first time.
But by summer 2024, DOJ determined no charges would be filed.
In October 2024 – weeks before the presidential election – the U.S. Attorney reconsidered prosecution, requested copies of the FBI interview files, and then did nothing.
The case was administratively closed in September 2025.

Trump put the documents on the White House website during a primetime address on election integrity.
"The FBI agents working on the case believe crimes were committed," Trump said, "yet the Biden Department of Justice slow-walked the investigation and killed it."
He directed FBI Director Kash Patel to reopen the probe and work with DOJ to prosecute anyone responsible for election crimes.
GBI Strategies was not a rogue operation – campaign finance records show the firm worked for Democrat campaigns and committees in 2020.
Michigan's leftist Attorney General Dana Nessel referred the case to the FBI rather than prosecuting it herself.
Biden's DOJ received it and immediately throttled the investigation, refusing to pursue the core voter registration fraud allegation for more than a year.
When one agent pushed back in writing and forced a full inquiry, DOJ ran the database checks, confirmed the fraud, interviewed roughly 100 witnesses – and still refused to charge anyone.
Biden's team had until January 2025 to bring charges.
They chose not to.
Trump's team closed the file in September 2025 – eight months into his second term – after inheriting a case the prior administration had deliberately starved of resources for four years.
That's not slow-walking.
That's a cover-up.
