Last month, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

The Chiefs shocked Americans after failing to put up much of a fight, losing 40-22.

And now this Super Bowl champion has paid the price after bad mouthing Travis Kelce.

Top NFL Safety makes high-profile move after making these scathing remarks

Just over a month ago, the Philadelphia Eagles won Super Bowl LIX with ease.

Although many Americans expected a close game, the Eagles cruised to victory, beating the reigning champion Kansas City Chiefs 40-22.

Already, the National Football League has begun preparations for the 2025 season.

Trade activity has exploded in recent days, with a long list of players moving to other teams.

For example, the Philadelphia Eagles traded safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to the Houston Texans in exchange for guard Kenyon Green.

This move made headlines across the sports media world, as many experts view Gardner-Johnson as one of the best safeties in the NFL.

The Gardner-Johnson trade also came after the star safety made eyebrow-raising remarks about Kansas City Chiefs Tight End, Travis Kelce.

Following the Eagles’ victory over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, Gardner-Johnson posted a picture of Travis Kelce on his Instagram story, taking direct aim at his celebrity girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

The caption on the picture of Kelce read “should’ve stayed with that thick sh*t,” referencing the fact that Travis Kelce dated a black woman prior to dating Taylor Swift, who has a notoriously slim build.

Then, during the Eagles Super Bowl parade, Gardner-Johnson wore a sweatshirt that read “Swifties can LIX my b*lls.”

It is not clear whether these profane episodes have a direct link to the Eagles’ decision to trade him to the Texans.

However, it is hard to ignore that the Eagles were so quick to get rid of him, despite him playing very well last season.

Moving forward, most sportsbooks have the Philadelphia Eagles favored to win Super Bowl LX, with Fanduel giving the Eagles +650 odds to win it all again.

Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens trail closely behind, with Fanduel giving each of them +700 odds to win it all.

However, any football fan will tell you that there is plenty of time until the next Super Bowl, and a lot can happen between now and then.

C.J. Gardner Johnson may have pushed himself out of Philadelphia with his lewd remarks

Every player wants to play for the winning team, and undoubtedly, C.J. Gardner-Johnson had dreams of winning more Super Bowls with the Eagles.

However, the Philadelphia Eagles had other plans, trading him to the Houston Texans.

His crass remarks about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift most likely played a factor in this trade, with the Eagles looking to bolster their defensive line as well as eliminate unnecessary distractions from their team.
