Democrats will tear down any institution that stands in the way of their radical agenda.
That includes the Supreme Court.
But Ted Cruz erupted at a Fox News host’s question about defending Clarence Thomas.
The Democrats have been attempting to ruin Clarence Thomas for 40 years, stemming back to his work in the Reagan administration.
Thomas nearly got “Borked” during his Senate confirmation in 1991; the Democrats notoriously scuttled Robert Bork’s appointment to the Supreme Court a few years earlier.
Now Democrats are going after Thomas regarding bogus financial disclosures that are not anywhere close to crimes.
Senator Bernie Sanders called for Thomas to be investigated, and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said he should be impeached.
But Senator Ted Cruz called out the disgusting and obvious hit job on Thomas.
During an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures, Cruz said, “You know what Justice Thomas did wrong? … He’s been one of the greatest Supreme Court justices ever to serve on the court. He has been a principled constitutionalist. And the Left despises him. Democrats hate Justice Thomas and they save a special degree of hate for him because he’s a black man. And their view is that an African American is not allowed to be a conservative, is not allowed to disagree with left-wing orthodoxy.”

The Left has had a particular level of vitriol for Thomas because he is considered a political apostate; people within the supposed Democrat identity politics voting bloc are not supposed to have conservative beliefs.
Cruz continued, “Justice Thomas, they view as a traitor, because he is African American, and he’s an extraordinary justice…And listen, the ‘ethics complaints’ they’re raising, every single Supreme Court Justice, all nine of them, take trips across the country, take trips internationally that are paid for by others. Many of the liberal icons, Ruth Bader Ginsburg took over 100 trips. Stephen Breyer took over 100 trips. Sonia Sotomayor took over 100 trips.”
Liberals have had their hair on fire because a Republican billionaire friend of Thomas’s paid for vacation trips.
Cruz added, “And all of the media, all the Democrats who are attacking Justice Thomas, they don’t care at all…They’re not looking at any of the Democrat justices. They’re not looking at any other judges. This is a political smear job directed at Clarence Thomas because he is an extraordinary constitutionalist, and the Left hates him for it.”
This is undoubtedly true.
So don’t get your hopes up about any corporate-controlled journalist combing through the financial records of Justice Sonia Sotomayor because she has the “correct” opinions.
