Nancy Pelosi is having a miserable time running the house with Democrats bitterly divided.
She’s looking to take her anger out on conservatives.
And she just muzzled a leading Republican for this ridiculous reason.
Republican congressman Paul Gosar of Arizona has been a lightning rod for seething leftists.
A strong supporter of President Trump he’s been one of the leaders for his America First agenda in congress.
His stances on suspicious activity in the 2020 election and cracking down on illegal immigration put him in the crosshairs of the radical Left.
And he found himself in a firestorm of controversy for tweeting out a video of a cartoon.
The video featured a clip from a Japanese cartoon which his staff edited into a satirical clip targeted at young conservatives.
In the video Gosar along with fellow house Republicans Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor-Greene had their faces superimposed onto cartoon characters.
The cartoon versions of the trio were fighting against two giant monsters with the faces of Joe Biden and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez superimposed on them.
Almost immediately after the tweet the Left started freaking out.
Twitter put the tweet in a restricted state saying it violated their rules.
Eventually the tweet was deleted.
Ocasio-Cortez said the video was “inciting violence” against her.
The corporate-controlled media and Democrats joined the pile on dramatically overreacting to a cartoon.
Sensing an opportunity to go after a Trump supporter, Democrats on a nearly party line voted to censure Gosar.
Censure is the harshest rebuke of a House member outside of expelling them.
Pelosi and Democrats also voted to remove him from the committees he served on.
Gosar defended himself during the censure hearing saying the cartoon was obviously not a call for violence.
He said, “If this cartoon ‘incites violence’ and needs to be banned and me ‘punished’ for it, then the Cartoon Network, Disney and all of Hollywood must be shut down and ‘punished’ for all the cartoon and film violence they portray.”
Matt Gaetz blasted Democrats for the move saying they may indict Wile E. Coyote for cartoon violence against the Roadrunner.
In a defiant move after the censure Gosar retweeted someone who reposted the cartoon.
Like President’s Trump’s sham impeachment, this is another Democrat move to weaponize the rules to punish their political opponents.
The move could backfire on Democrats though.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy indicated that kicking Democrats off committees for bad behavior could be on the table if Republicans take control.
Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez could find herself in the same situation for crying wolf over Gosar’s tweet.
