Liz Cheney orchestrated one unthinkable plot against Donald Trump

The Democrats have been on a mission to destroy Donald Trump for six years.

They have been joined in that effort by many establishment Republicans.

And Liz Cheney orchestrated one unthinkable plot against Trump.

The Washington, D.C. Swamp is going all in on January 6 as the silver bullet to vanquish Donald Trump once and for all.

Russiagate, Ukrainegate, endless intelligence community leaks, and endless media smears did not do the job.

But the establishment is still hoping the January 6 hearings will do the job.

The narrative that Trump masterminded a coup on January 6 is absurd, and gets more ridiculous the harder establishment players push that story.

One argument is that Trump did little to stop the so-called insurrection, but it was Congresswoman Liz Cheney who supposedly ensured that the National Guard would not be on standby that day.

The Federalist reported that “Liz Cheney coordinated efforts to deter the very actions she now claims haunt the former president. Cheney has blamed Trump for not ordering the National Guard to defend the Capitol complex, even though multiple sources confirm that he authorized their deployment days prior to the Jan. 6 rally at the White House and riot at the Capitol. Security officials in charge of the Capitol declined to call up troops to protect it, government records show. Yet Cheney herself seems to have orchestrated opposition to use of the military to quell election-related unrest, allegedly organizing a Washington Post op-ed on Jan. 3, 2021, signed by every living former defense secretary. ‘All 10 living former defense secretaries: Involving the military in election disputes would cross into dangerous territory,’ the headline read. It went on to threaten any military official who thought any use of the military might be a good idea.”

So Cheney put together an op-ed of former secretaries of state to condemn any National Guard action, then she later hammered Trump for not sending in the National Guard.

During a Fox News interview, Brett Baier asked Cheney, “There are several witnesses who say they met with President Trump on January 4 and he offered some 20,000 National Guardsmen to protect the Capitol building on January 6 but the offer was rejected. Is that true?”

Cheney responded, “His own acting secretary of defense says that’s not true…So the notion that somehow he issued an order is not consistent with the facts.”

The double game Cheney is playing is obvious.

If Trump sends in the troops, he’s a fascist.

If he doesn’t, he’s enacting a coup.

The Federalist added that “the president did issue authorization for D.C. leaders to call up the National Guard for pre-emptive reinforcements days before the Capitol riot. While Mayor Muriel Bowser took limited advantage of the extra troops, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s sergeant at arms rejected or stonewalled the offer six times, according to former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund. Pelosi’s office was reportedly concerned the guard’s deployment was bad ‘optics’ after having spent the prior summer decrying the use of federal law enforcement to put down left-wing insurrections.”

On top of that, according to documents, Capitol Security was at only around 10% capacity on January 6, a day that was expected to be hectic and politically charged.

The establishment wanted Trump gone for a long time, and January 6th was their best shot.

Democrats are eating up the narrative that Cheney is deeply concerned about “country over party.”

But the fact of the matter is that she’s a warmonger, and Trump was getting in the way.

Trump said it best during a recent rally when he explained, “The Cheneys are diehard globalists and warmongers who have been plunging us into new conflicts for decades, spilling American blood and spending American treasure all over the world…the Cheneys never met a war they didn’t like.”

Despite Cheney’s best efforts, Trump still defeats Joe Biden in a hypothetical 2024 rematch.
