George Soros is reportedly the money behind a lot of stuff once deemed conspiracy by many.
Now the public may be getting a glimpse at what’s really going on.
Because George Soros’ fingerprints are all over this network that just got exposed.
Over the years, the Left has developed an obsession with so-called “fact-checking.”
Is the job fact checking or enforcing approved narratives?
Lately, most social media platforms and so-called news sites have employed fact checkers whose job is to provide unbiased context to claims made by users.
However, these fact-checkers only ever seem to target conservatives or anybody who is skeptical of the approved left-wing narratives.
Those on the Left are almost never fact-checked.
Many conservatives assumed this disparity with fact-checking was a result of “woke” fact-checkers, but it appears as if the truth is far more dubious.
In a story put out by the New York Post, far-Left mega-donor George Soros has dumped an eye-popping amount of money into these so-called fact-checking services.
Per the New York Post, “Heading into the midterms, in an open letter signed by 11 other leftist groups, the Soros-funded Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights called on Big Tech CEOs to take “immediate” action to spread so-called “voting disinformation” to “help prevent the undermining” of democracy.”
The New York Post went on to say “The signatories had received a combined $30.3 million from Soros in just a four-year period.”
The Post added “One project of the Poynter Institute specifically, the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN), was launched in 2015 with its initial funding coming from the National Endowment for Democracy (backed by the US State Department), the Omidyar Network, Google, Facebook, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and George Soros’ Open Society Foundations.”
That’s right, in addition to Big Tech itself and donors like George Soros and Bill Gates, the report shows American taxpayers are helping foot the bill to be told they can’t believe what’s in front of their own eyes.
That makes “fact-checking” appear nothing more than a clever tool by the Left to discredit and silence their political enemies.
If social media and news sites plan on using fact-checking in the future, then they must make these services unbiased, which they clearly are not right now.
People should be taught to filter information and news on their own instead of having some leftist effectively censor posts with nonsense and usually dubious fact-checking.
In order to prevent censorship online, Republicans should investigate the methods and means by which these companies “fact-check.”
