Woke” capitalism is one of the worst developments in years.
Private corporations were long-viewed as a bulwark against leftist insanity, now they’re all-in.
But now, this former Trump administration US Ambassador is at war with Woke Wall Street.
It’s abundantly clear Wall Street is gearing up to wage financial warfare on as many conservative institutions as possible.
Sam Brownback slapped with one startling reality as Chase Bank declares financial war on his Christian-led nonprofit
A non-partisan faith-based organization led by former Kansas Governor and GOP US Senator Sam Brownback is reeling after one major back just delivered a major blow.
Brownback, who most recently served as US Ambassador-at Large for International Religious Freedom during the Trump administration, has suddenly found himself in one nasty fight right here at home.
It’s hard to imagine anything more American than a non-partisan group called “The National Committee for Religious Freedom” (NCRF), but apparently Chase bank has zero issues with suddenly cutting them off from receiving the company’s services.
The organization is a 501 (c) 4 political action nonprofit that initially had a “very positive” experience banking with Chase according to Brownback.
But only 20 days after the organization opened its account, Brownback was informed the bank was suddenly closing the account.
The organization’s executive director, Justin Murff, was informed by the bank that the decision to shut down the organization’s bank account was made at the “corporate level,” according to The Christian Post.
Only last month JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon was testifying before a Senate committee claiming his company is all kinds of patriotic.
“We live in the greatest country in the world predicated on foundational beliefs in freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of enterprise, the sanctity of the individual, and the promise of equality and opportunity for all,” he told the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
Ironically, it appears that someone at Chase has already forgotten the “core values” that are “the fabric that bind us as Americans, where the best of what we are shines through, especially in times of adversity.”
Based on that, you’d think an organization with the NCRF’s mission statement of “defending the right of everyone in America to live one’s faith freely” would be a favorite at Chase bank.
Instead, the NCRF is dealing with a sudden account closure that Brownback says is “secret, it’s irrevocable, and that’s all the information we got.”
At one point, Chase employees came up with an excuse that was an obvious lie, claiming that the organization failed to provide some paperwork within 60 days.
Considering the account was only open 20 days, that one didn’t fly.
Then the organization dug a little deeper and someone who would only admit to being called “Chi-Chi” told Murff “it might be possible to continue the business relationship if NCRF could provide some further details about the nonprofit’s political activities.”
Chase bank demanding political information that’s none of its business to lift account freeze
The list of demands the company then made are not only mind boggling, but also a clear indication they have every intention of basing their service offerings on whether or not the company approves of the organization’s political associations and goals.
The documentation demanded included a list of donors who have given more than 10% of the organization’s budget, political candidates the organization plans to support, and even the criteria the organization uses to decide who to support.
In other words, the bank wants all the information that’s none of its business.
Now, NCRF has been forced to open an account with a different organization.
But Chase is likely to remember them thanks to a new #ChasedAway social media campaign the organization has launched to discover how many other faith-based organizations are getting shut down by the busybody bankers.
In an era where Big Business and Gig Government are so far under leftist control, the idea that bankers will soon start implementing their own form of a Communist-style social credit system on all their customers is wrong – it’s already here.
