Elon Musk is doing the dirty work of cleaning up Twitter.
And the Left absolutely despises him for it.
Musk invited commentator Dave Rubin to Twitter headquarters and he found something truly disturbing.
Both Elon Musk and political commentator Dave Rubin have come a long way in the past few years.
Back in 2015, both were solidly on the Left; Musk was a darling of the tech world, and Rubin was part of The Young Turks’s network.
However, both are associated with the Right, as Musk has pledged to fight the “woke mind virus,” and Rubin has interviewed countless right-of-center personalities and politicians.
Rubin even left California for Florida because of the Golden State’s descent into left-wing lunacy.
Dave Rubin returned to California to get details of ‘strike’ regime straight from Twitter HQ
Rubin recently ventured back to California to tour Twitter’s headquarters in California, and he was stunned by what he found.
While talking with programmers for the company, Rubin learned that Twitter code from the old regime was biased against conservatives and right-wing figures.
Rubin reported, “I met with several engineers who were doing a deep dive on why my account and so many others seem to be absolutely crushed after that two or three week return to normalcy when Elon first took over. They still have more questions than answers, but they did learn a bunch of stuff. Accounts aren’t just hit with labels that are obvious to insiders. They now found more ‘secret’ labels which are causing shadowbans. My account was hit with all three; ‘Recent abuse strike,’ ‘Recent misinformation strike,’ ‘Recent suspension strike.’”
So the old guard embedded “secret” code that squeezed voices like Rubin and others who challenge the establishment orthodoxy.
He continued, “It’s unclear so far what these strikes actually do, but for sure they suppress views and recommendations, they are trying to figure out to what extent. I also had many innocuous tweets labeled NSFW [not safe for work] or NSFA (not safe for ads) which affect visibility in the timeline.”
Rubin also relayed that the entire code may need to be scrapped.
He wrote, “[Elon] thinks maybe the entire code has to be torn down and start from scratch. At the end last night he said that the whole situation is ‘a flaming dumpster rolling down the street.’”
The Left are hoping for Musk to fail at Twitter.
They hate the fact that free speech is back on the menu at the social media giant.
