COVID lockdowns forced millions of parents to watch their children's classes for the first time.
The Left had spent decades injecting their agenda into every corner of America's classrooms.
Now Ben Carson is hitting back with something that will reach every child in America.
The Left-Wing Indoctrination Campaign Parents Weren't Supposed to See
Ben Carson didn't mince words at the Kennedy Center premiere of Star Spangled Adventures: The Movie, his new feature-length animated film produced through his Little Patriots program.
"Many of the school systems have a large number of Marxists in them," Carson told the Daily Signa.
The goal isn't education.
"Their belief is that children actually belong to the government, actually belong to the school system, and they have the right to do what they want to do," Carson said. "And their agendas they know frequently would not correspond with what the parents would want."
"Don't tell the parents," Carson said, "and just do what you want to do."
This isn't a fringe concern. The National Education Association – the largest teachers union in the country – rolled out a "Solidarity Toolkit" this spring urging educators to mobilize students against what it called the "billionaire takeover" and "Trump-Musk Coup."
They promoted staged walk-ins during the school day, turning classrooms into organizing floors for their political agenda. That's not teaching. That's grooming the next generation of activists on the taxpayers’ dime.
Why Millions of Parents Are Fleeing Public Schools Right Now
Millions of families didn't wait for politicians to fix it.
Homeschooling grew 5.4% in the 2024–2025 school year – nearly triple the pre-pandemic rate, according to Johns Hopkins University's Institute for Education Policy.
A third of all reporting states set all-time records for homeschool enrollment. Over 6% of American school-age children are now being educated at home, and the number keeps climbing.
The reason isn't hard to find.
Federal homeschooling data shows 72% of parents named poor academic quality and teachers' approaches in public schools as their primary reason for pulling their kids out.
Homeschooled students now score 15 to 25 percentile points above their public school peers on standardized tests, according to the National Home Education Research Institute. The parents who left were right.
The families fleeing public schools have been driving demand for Carson's Little Patriots program – free patriotic history content available at littlepatriotslearning.com, already in use at homeschools and private schools across the country.
"A lot of the homeschools and private schools use the Little Patriots program," Carson said, "because with each of our cartoons, there's a teaching lesson that goes with it."

The Star Spangled Adventures film covers 250 years of American history – from the Revolutionary War through the 20th century – guided by Liberty the Eagle and featuring voice actors including Pat Boone, John Schneider, Kevin Sorbo, and Rich Little.
Carson took particular aim at the story of George Washington during the French and Indian War. Washington had two horses shot from under him, four bullet holes in his overcoat, and no flesh wounds.
An Indian chief who had shot at him 17 times sought him out years later – and told him he was protected by the Great Spirit and destined to lead a great nation.
"That story used to be in all of our history books," Carson said. "And then it became politically incorrect, so they took it out."
The Left removed those stories on purpose – because a generation that understands its own history can't be sold on tearing the country down, and the radical left's entire pitch depends on Americans not knowing what they've inherited.
"There are forces that we see every day now pushing other types of government other than what was established by our Constitution," Carson said. "And it's very easy to be captivated by them if you don't actually know who we are and what we stand for."
Ben Carson's Little Patriots Program Is Giving Parents a Way to Fight Back
Carson built his American Cornerstone Institute on four pillars: faith, liberty, community, and life. The Star Spangled Adventures film is his most ambitious project yet – timed to America's 250th birthday and produced through donations from what Carson called "very generous patriotic Americans who understand that we're still in a fight."
The enemy Carson is fighting isn't a foreign army – it's a permanent bureaucracy embedded inside institutions that once built citizens and now manufacture resentment.
Carson grew up poor in Detroit, spent nearly 30 years as one of the world's most celebrated neurosurgeons at Johns Hopkins, served his country as Trump's Housing Secretary, and now uses his retirement making free cartoons for other people's grandchildren.
"If we don't equip our children with the right knowledge," Carson said, "they'll go away thinking America's a horrible place."
The Marxists in the classroom are counting on that.
Carson intends to make sure they don't win.
