Democrats are losing their minds over Donald Trump’s second term.
Their anger is boiling over.
And a Teachers Union Boss accused Donald Trump of committing one unthinkable crime against kids.
Democrats rage over Donald Trump shutting down the Department of Education
President Donald Trump issued an executive order to shut down the Department of Education and return control over education to the states.
More than half of the department’s employees were laid off as it began to wind down its operation.
Trump delivered on a goal that Republicans have held since President Ronald Reagan to eliminate the department.
Created under President Jimmy Carter in 1979, the Department of Education has spent trillions of dollars while test scores have declined in government schools.
Democrats and their media allies began fearmongering over closing the department and returning power to local communities.
The president of the National Education Association (NEA), the country’s second-largest teachers union, claimed without evidence that Trump eliminating the Department of Education would be a catastrophe for students.
NEA Union Boss Becky Pringle told CNN that Trump was stealing money from kids to give tax breaks to billionaires.
“It is not OK that this administration is stealing billions of dollars from our students to give billionaires tax breaks. We know that’s exactly what they plan to do,” Pringle ranted. “We know that students have already been harmed and hurt, and our families are reeling from the impact of taking away the role of the federal government.”
The Department of Education hasn’t closed yet and Pringle claimed the sky is falling.
Congress is debating extending and expanding Trump’s 2017 tax cuts which would include ending the tax on Social Security, no tax on tips, or overtime.
When in doubt, pay the race card
Pringle turned to the race card to baselessly claim that students would be discriminated against.
“And let’s be clear, we’re not only talking about funding, we’re talking about making sure that any complaints that come in from our schools through the Office of Civil Rights, which has been gutted, that they are investigated,” Pringle raved. “That’s why the NAACP has joined in this lawsuit. So we have a lot of work to do, and we are ready to do it.”
The Biden administration used the Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights to force government schools to comply with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies and its transgender agenda.
Democrats have weaponized the office to force the Left’s social engineering on the entire country.
“The federal government’s role in the establishment of the Department of Education was after the Civil Rights Act, where we knew that there were inequities that existed in every social system in this country,” Pringle claimed. “And the federal government’s role was to try to close those gaps so that our students with disabilities could get the education they deserve. Our students from low-income families could get the extra resources that we know they needed.”
Pringle is turning to scare tactics because she and her cronies are going to lose control over education.
Democrats want the Department of Education to be able to have top-down control over government education from Washington, D.C.
They don’t want to lose their stranglehold over the educational system.
