Elon Musk released the Twitter Files and showed the world how Democrats secretly censored conservatives.
Now those same Obama alumni built something worse – and they recruited lawyers this time.
Their own documents prove this operation is already targeting your posts ahead of November.
A group called Voter Protection Corps – founded by Obama campaign veteran Quentin Palfrey – posted a September 8th job listing recruiting lawyers for one specific purpose: "lending legal credibility to formal removal requests."
Not voter protection – formal removal requests, with a bar-licensed attorney's name attached to give each one institutional weight.
Palfrey ran voter protection for John Kerry in New Hampshire in 2004 and for Barack Obama in Ohio in 2008.
The lawyers he's now recruiting aren't going to court to protect anyone's right to vote.
They're sitting at computers reviewing your social media posts and deciding whether to formally demand platforms take them down.
The attorney recruitment runs through We The Action – a platform inside Civic Nation, the organization chaired by Valerie Jarrett that grew directly out of the Obama-Biden White House.
This isn't some rogue activist project operating out of someone's basement.
VPC's January 2026 report states the long-term ambition without any embarrassment: "Treat social media monitoring as core election infrastructure."
The plan calls for an army of volunteers watching every platform year-round, with lawyers on standby to convert citizen flags into formal removal demands.
The monitoring software – Junkipedia – tracks more than 20 million social media channels across 15 platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, TikTok, and Telegram, giving volunteers the ability to pull posts, follow image and video spread, and harvest automated transcripts across all of them simultaneously.

Their Own Report Named Elon Musk a Target for Election Interference
VPC's report documents exactly what they're flagging – and one category, labeled "NYC Ballot Design Disinformation," features Elon Musk's own posts criticizing New York City's ballot.
Musk raised questions about voter ID rules, candidates appearing more than once on the ballot, and Andrew Cuomo's placement.
VPC classified that as disinformation and documented his posts as the type of content their operation exists to target.
They also flagged a Gunther Eagleman post – using an image from Fox News' White House briefing coverage – as "Vote By Mail Disinformation."
VPC's executive director Jesse Littlewood previously worked at Soros-funded Common Cause, and so did Raelyn Roberson – now leading VPC's 2026 counter-disinformation training and monitoring shifts.
Common Cause is listed as a formal training partner, and flagged posts go to Common Cause's own tip line at reportdisinfo.org.
The Sixteen Thirty Fund – a left-wing dark money machine – gave VPC's 501(c)(4) a $341,000 grant.
Omidyar Network, the Knight Foundation, and Craig Newmark Philanthropies fund the Junkipedia software.
This is a fully funded censorship apparatus bankrolled by left-wing dark money, staffed by Obama alumni, and equipped with a bar-licensed attorney network – all of it aimed at your social media accounts before Election Day.
Dark Money Funded a Practice Run That Got 300 Conservative Posts Removed
VPC isn't guessing whether any of this works.
In Virginia in 2025, roughly 50 people went through training, seven monitors deployed on Election Day, and an attorney added his name to post removal requests.
VPC called it a "useful dry run."
Their predecessors ran a larger version of the same model in 2022.
Common Cause – which shares key leadership with VPC through both Littlewood and Roberson – claimed 2,202 monitors, 3,825 flagged items, and more than 300 Facebook and Twitter removals during that cycle.
Their own report didn't soften it: "we successfully pressured platforms to both remove the posts and implement new rules."
Pressuring Facebook and Twitter into rewriting their own rules during an election isn't voter protection – it's election interference with a nonprofit wrapper.
The lawyer upgrade makes the 2026 version harder to fight.
VPC has named New Hampshire, Texas, Virginia, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Iowa as its six priority states for the cycle.
Monitoring shifts ran from September 15 through October 27, with five additional two-hour windows scheduled on Election Day alone.
Content moderators at Facebook can ignore a citizen complaint without consequence – but an attorney's formal removal letter puts the platform's legal exposure on the table, and the person whose post disappears has no idea it's happening until it's already gone.
VPC's report says preparations for 2028 begin the moment 2026 results come in – this isn't a midterm operation, it's permanent infrastructure that gets sharper, larger, and better-funded every cycle it runs.
The 2026 midterms are next Tuesday, the drills are over.
