Biden's FBI spent four years protecting Anthony Fauci from the truth about Wuhan.
Rand Paul just proved they ran cover at the border too.
And the FBI had agents take one action that confirmed a cover-up.
The CBP Agent Who Tried to Question Peter Daszak at JFK
Peter Daszak ran EcoHealth Alliance, the American nonprofit that funneled U.S. taxpayer money into bat coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
He spent 15 years collaborating with Wuhan's lead coronavirus researcher, Zhengli Shi, and served as the principal investigator on the NIH grants that paid for it.
In early 2021, he was hand-picked to join the World Health Organization's team investigating how COVID-19 started – traveling to China to probe the lab his organization had funded.
On February 5, 2021, he was on a plane back to JFK Airport in New York City.
CBP's National Targeting Center had already flagged him as "an extremely high person of interest."
Agents had a list of questions ready – which Chinese government officials he met with, whether he visited the Wuhan Institute itself, and whether he illegally collected or transported biological samples back to the United States.
Those questions were never asked.
Three days before Daszak landed, a message arrived from the FBI's New York Field Office.
Internal documents released by Sen. Rand Paul show exactly what it said: "FBI New York requested we do not stop the subject below."
The file closes with four words: "No further NTC action."
How EcoHealth Alliance and Gain-of-Function Research Led to a Federal Stand-Down
EcoHealth Alliance received millions in NIH grant money, money that internal government records confirm "is put towards gain of function research" at the Wuhan lab.
The NIH itself had asked Daszak to retrieve the original type-specimen the Wuhan lab used for genetic analysis and return it to the United States.
Daszak was also in private communications with Fauci ally David Morens – the man later indicted for destroying federal records – about how to keep EcoHealth's funding alive after Congress flagged the research as dangerous.
Morens used a Gmail account to dodge FOIA requests.
Those communications revealed that Daszak still had 15,000 samples in freezers in Wuhan – and had not analyzed more than 700 coronaviruses he had already identified.
That detail matters more than it sounds.
CBP agents were specifically preparing to ask Daszak whether he had collected or transported any biological samples during his China trip.
Those questions would have put him under oath-equivalent pressure at the border – the moment of maximum legal exposure, before lawyers, before preparation, before coordinated messaging with Fauci's circle.
The documents released by Rand Paul include the full proposed interrogation list, the flight itinerary, and the internal emails showing CBP supervisors pushing for the inspection.
Every one of those questions went unasked.
The FBI knew all of it.
They told CBP to stand down anyway.
Fauci Faces Congress on Wuhan Lab Leak Funding July 29
Rand Paul subpoenaed Anthony Fauci to appear before the Senate Homeland Security Committee on July 29, 2026.
Fauci had already declined a voluntary request to appear – Paul escalated to a compulsory subpoena.
Documents released by former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on her final day in office showed Fauci worked to suppress the lab-leak theory and manipulate intelligence community assessments on COVID's origins.
Fauci told Congress in 2024 that he did not, to his knowledge, speak with intelligence agencies about COVID.
Gabbard's documents say otherwise.
The FBI is now investigating that cover-up in multiple field offices, with Deputy Director Dan Bongino confirming the bureau is pursuing the cover-up of COVID's origins across several jurisdictions.
Biden's pardon of Fauci covers federal offenses through January 2025.
It does not cover anything Fauci says under oath on July 29.
The FBI did not just decline to investigate the man at the center of the pandemic's origins.
It actively cleared the runway for him.
