CNN spent five years telling you to trust the experts.
Now the man who ran those experts just took the Fifth 100 times rather than answer for it.
And CNN’s Dana Bash brought her same talking points to the man who helped expose Fauci's lies – and paid for it on live television.
RFK Jr Accused CNN of Press Malpractice – Live on Its Own Air
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. appeared on CNN Sunday morning and Dana Bash walked straight into a fight she wasn't ready for.
When Bash tried to steer the conversation toward the next pandemic, Kennedy didn't follow her lead. He went straight at what CNN did during the last one.
"During COVID, we completely dismantled our constitutional rights," Kennedy told her. "We began censoring people in violation of the First Amendment."
Bash pushed back. Kennedy pushed harder.
"Doctors who were saying, 'You're doing it wrong,' were being marginalized and vilified. There was absolute press malpractice. Your job is to have a fierce skepticism toward authority, and you weren't doing that. You were beating up on people who were dissenting."
Bash told him she wasn't part of the problem. Kennedy looked at her and said she was.
"Yeah, of course you want to move on because you were part of the problem."
She had no answer.
Fauci Took the Fifth 100 Times – Then CNN Sent Dana Bash to Defend Him
Four days earlier, Anthony Fauci sat before Senator Rand Paul's Senate Homeland Security Committee and invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times rather than answer questions under oath.
The man CNN called "the expert" for five years declined to say whether he misled Congress, whether his private diary told a different story than his public statements on COVID's origins, or whether the lockdowns he championed – the ones that shut down 3.5 million American businesses – rested on any actual science.
Fauci's diary, which Kennedy led an eight-month search within HHS to find on a government server, told its own story. CNN anchor Jake Tapper appears in it 41 times. In one entry, Fauci wrote that Tapper "wanted to make sure the interview did not cause me any problems."
In another, Fauci noted dinner at the Tapper home in July 2020 – the same month CNN was publishing warnings about the dangers of small household gatherings.
Dana Bash works for the same network. She sat across from the man who found those diary entries and came armed with talking points.
Kennedy called it out: "All you know how to do is repeat things that people told you and say, 'Trust the experts.' That's what you did during COVID. Now we know that Anthony Fauci was lying about everything – about masks, about social distancing, about natural immunity, about the transmission from the vaccine, about the source of COVID."
Bash said she was frustrated. Kennedy wasn't interested in her frustration.
"Your job is to tell the truth to the American public and to maintain a posture of fierce skepticism toward government authority."

Kennedy Told CNN Exactly What Went Wrong – and What Comes Next
When Bash pressed Kennedy on pandemic preparedness, he had a direct answer.
"I think we did virtually everything wrong the last time."
Kennedy said the primary failure was silencing the doctors who were getting results. There were 15 million frontline physicians around the world connected through the internet, he told Bash, tracking in real time what was working and what wasn't. There were doctors treating thousands of COVID patients with no deaths.
The government wasn't listening to them. It was doing the opposite.
"If we had listened to those doctors during the COVID pandemic, we would have saved potentially millions of lives."
His answer on what to do differently next time was equally direct: protect constitutional rights first. The censorship, the marginalization of dissenting doctors, the shutdowns built on contested science – Kennedy named every one of them as a policy failure, on CNN's own air, with Bash sitting three feet away.
She ended the segment saying she was sorry it got contentious. Kennedy was not sorry at all.
He had a microphone in front of the network that covered for Fauci for five years – and he used every second of it.
