Ex National Park Ranger Enlists Children Into Anti-American Resistance Movement at Yellowstone

The Left lost the fight over what hangs on the walls inside America's national park visitor centers.

They are not done fighting.

What a former ranger is pressing into children's hands at Yellowstone runs through the same left-wing network already inside American classrooms.

Resistance Rangers Recruit Children at Yellowstone Using Junior Ranger Program

Melissa Dalley quit the National Park Service this spring after years at New York's Martin Van Buren National Historic Site – and immediately started working the crowds at national park visitor centers across the country.

Her first stop was Grand Teton National Park's Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center – where she walked visitors to the empty space where a sign about a Native American massacre once stood before the Trump administration removed it.

She handed out flyers containing the removed information and has since expanded the operation to Yellowstone and Glacier.

Dalley calls it America433+, named for all 433 sites in the National Park Service, and has built a coalition with a network of former and current park employees operating under the name Resistance Rangers.

On Juneteenth, the group held its first "teach-in" at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park in West Virginia – the site of John Brown's 1859 raid on the federal armory.

Children at the event completed activities and earned "Junior Resistance Ranger" badges bearing a skull-and-crossbones emblem.

Dalley told SFGATE that millions of Americans visiting national parks this summer are being denied the history she believes they deserve – and says the damage cannot be undone.

She also revealed that current NPS employees are deliberately delaying new exhibit construction until Trump leaves office.

"They're waiting for this administration to go away so that they can continue the work," she said.

Her campaign has drawn sharp pushback online, with readers calling it pure propaganda and noting that Biden and Obama installed the left-wing content that Trump removed in the first place.

Zinn Education Project Backs Junior Resistance Ranger Campaign at National Parks

Dalley's park tour is not a solo operation.

The Zinn Education Project – documented by CAMERA Education Institute for advancing what it calls an "anti-American, anti-white, and anti-Israel agenda" through K-12 curriculum – has officially joined the America433+ coalition.

Named for radical 1960s historian Howard Zinn, the project has placed its materials in the classrooms of more than 176,000 American teachers.

Fox News reported in November 2025 that the organization's curriculum has been adopted coast to coast, teaching American history through the lens of racial oppression from pre-K through grade 12.

Its lesson materials have been downloaded more than 765,000 times, and the group co-sponsors an annual "Teach Truth Day of Action" with the National Education Association – the same union that has fought school choice for decades.

Now the Zinn Education Project is expanding beyond government schools and into national parks.

Trump signed Executive Order 14253 in March 2025, ordering a review of how national park content portrays American history.

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum implemented the directive through Secretarial Order 3431 in May 2025, directing agencies to remove content that "inappropriately disparages Americans past or living."

A federal judge initially ordered all removed exhibits restored within 21 days – but a federal appeals court in July 2026 allowed the administration's review process to continue.

Dalley's answer to the courts was to station herself at the visitor center door and tell every tourist she meets to spread the word – passing her activist recruitment campaign off as a chance encounter with "this crazy lady on your vacation."

The same apparatus that spent two decades embedding anti-American curriculum into American children's government school classrooms is now deploying trained activists to intercept those same children at Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Glacier – this summer, right now.

The skull-and-crossbones badge is not an accident.

It is a recruitment symbol for a resistance movement actively targeting minors during their family vacations.

The woman pressing that badge into a child's hands represents the same radical network already running the curriculum at their local school.

Trump cleaned the propaganda off the park walls.

The Left's answer was to station activists at the front door and hand it directly to American children on the way in.
