Democrats are freaking out over recent poll results.

Donald Trump is gaining steam among nonwhite voters.

But one of Trump’s biggest black supporters just got axed, and it could cost Trump dearly.

Political Commentator Candace Owens has parted ways with conservative news outlet The Daily Wire.

Owens clashed publicly with Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro in the aftermath of the horrific Hamas terror attacks on October 7.

Shapiro, an Orthodox Jew who is very pro-Israel, felt that Owens was not condemnatory enough on her show regarding the war in Gaza.

Internal clash

Owens brought on guests with opinions on both sides of the conflict, including noted Israel critic Norman Finkelstein.

During a gathering, Shapiro was caught on camera calling Owens’s coverage of the war “disgraceful” and essentially said that she was a “faux-sophisticate.”

Many speculated that it was only a matter of time before Owens would leave the company after that episode.

Soon after a hit piece from the far-left ADL, Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing announced on Twitter, “Daily Wire and Candace Owens have ended their relationship.”

Owens said on her own Twitter account, “The rumors are true— I am finally free. . .There will be many announcements in the weeks to come.”

The sudden split could cause an unwanted shakeup for Donald Trump.

Owens is one of Trump’s most ardent black supporters, but Shapiro recently hosted a fundraiser on Trump’s behalf.

Some could misperceive the Daily Wire split as Trump choosing Shapiro over Owens.

Far-left political commentator Marc Lamont Hill, who is black, defended Owens after the announcement that she was out at The Daily Wire.

Trump currently leads Joe Biden in the polls, so he does not want to see any in-fighting on the Republican side of the aisle.

Nevertheless, Owens still supports Trump, and she will likely have several options for her next landing spot.

Next venture

Some have speculated that Owens could join Tucker Carlson’s burgeoning network.

Carlson interviewed Owens immediately after her strife with Shapiro went public.

Carlson and Shapiro have also traded strong words over foreign policy vis-à-vis the war in Ukraine.

Multimillionaire entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David is also building a media network and recently brought on Owens for a lively debate with former CNN host Chris Cuomo.

Bet-David hired Cuomo so he could be on the lookout for more talent.

Owens could also stay independent and build her own shop.

Regardless, the move represents a seismic shift in the conservative media landscape.
