Mexican drug cartels are using Facebook to do something unimaginable

Joe Biden has turned the southern border into an utter disaster.

The flow of illegal aliens into the country has exploded.

And Mexican drug cartels are using Facebook to do something unimaginable.

One of Joe Biden’s first acts as President was to reverse Donald Trump’s effective border policies.

The easily foreseeable consequence was a massive influx in illegal aliens crossing into the country.

Now Mexican drug cartels are using Facebook to advertise to migrants, particularly pregnant women.

Breitbart reports:

“Cartel-connected human smugglers in Mexico and Central America continue to leverage Facebook to recruit migrant customers. The Gulf Cartel currently profits more from smuggling people than drugs . . . According to a recent report by Vice News, smugglers tweaked their marketing strategy to attract pregnant women to take advantage of a directive by the Biden Administration to ‘not detain, arrest or take into custody pregnant, post-partum or nursing’ women.”

The protection for pregnant women applies to migrants who are already in the United States – not ones apprehended at the border – but the cartels are exploiting the pregnant women nonetheless.

Breitbart continued:

“Despite claims of enforcement by Facebook, smugglers continue to advertise. The new strategy comes at a time when criminal organizations such as the Gulf Cartel and the Cartel Del Noreste faction of Los Zetas are profiting substantially from human smuggling. The Gulf Cartel controls all of the activities in the Rio Grande Valley and charges between $500 to $800 per migrant to cross the river. Those fees are separate from others related to the journey.”

Border agents are purportedly apprehending between 1,500 and 3,000 illegal aliens every single day.

Biden’s policies have served as a magnet for illegal immigration.

Perhaps Biden’s worst move was reversing Trump’s Remain in Mexico policy, which served as a major deterrent.

Even worse, Facebook has done little to stop cartel advertisements on its site.

Meanwhile, conservatives and counter-narrative voices are liable to get booted from the platform for questioning prevailing establishment narratives surrounding pressing public health matters.

And, of course, Donald Trump was famously suspended from Facebook.

That’s right. A sitting President wasn’t welcome on Facebook, but drug cartels that exploit pregnant women don’t seem to have a problem.

The bottom line is that anyone who threatens the establishment runs the risk of being censored.

Since the establishment wants as much immigration – both legal and illegal – as possible, going after cartels on social media isn’t a top priority.

Silencing some random conservative is much more important for the regime.
