The vitriol Harrison Butker is currently receiving is typically reserved for when a kicker misses a game-winning field goal.
Not for players like Butker who broke a Super Bowl record and played a vital role in his team winning the championship.
And now one outlet that Butker would expect to have his back is actually calling for him to be replaced in the most shameful way possible.
The most popular player in the NFL is now a kicker?
NFL Shop numbers show that kicker Harrison Butker is now the number-one best jersey seller for the Kansas City Chiefs.
That’s an astonishing accomplishment considering he’s on a team with Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce and superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Butker’s spike in jersey sales didn’t come after his four Super Bowl field goals, including one that sent the big game into overtime and another that was a Super Bowl record of 57 yards.
The Butker surge came after his commencement speech at Benedictine College – a Catholic school.
The Super Bowl champion received a standing ovation for his comments supporting traditional family values and religious values.
He also took aim at supposed Catholic Joe Biden.
“The bad policies and poor leadership have negatively impacted major life issues,” Butker said. “Things like abortion, [in vitro fertilization], surrogacy, euthanasia, as well as a growing support for the degenerate cultural values and media all stem from pervasiveness of disorder. Our own nation is led by a man who publicly and proudly proclaims his Catholic faith, but at the same time is delusional enough to make the sign of the cross during a pro-abortion rally.”
Radical leftists are melting down over the comments and twisting his words to paint Butker as a woman-hating bigot.
The NFL, of course, bought into the cancel culture crowd’s call to action and condemned Butker’s speech.
Kansas City government officials are distancing themselves from the Super Bowl hero, despite Butker and his foot helping bring another title to the city.
First, one of the city’s official Twitter accounts doxxed Butker, publicly exposing the town in which the kicker lives.
The woman who runs the account for @KansasCity is an anti-Catholic bigot who tried to dox Harrison Butker because he’s a little too Catholic for her.

Later officials said it was an “error” after the damage was already done.
But surely, Butker can expect support from his local newspaper, right?
Chiefs to replace Harrison Butker with a girl?
Wrong.
The pages of the Kansas City Star are now calling for Butker to be fired over his opinions.
The Star ran an op-ed from guest columnist Peter Hamm who was incredibly offended by Butker’s belief that women can be happy giving their lives to God.
Hamm wants Butker fired for his religious beliefs – a move that would be blatantly illegal.
It doesn’t matter to Hamm that Butker has helped the Chiefs win three Super Bowls and get to a fourth, or that he has the second-best field goal success ratio of all time.
According to Hamm, Butker is “only a special teams player,” so the team can afford to make a political statement with his spot.
But firing Butker for believing differently than Hamm isn’t enough.
Hamm demands that Butker be fired, and that he is replaced by a woman.
He begged the Chiefs’ front office to look at bringing in Maya Turner – a sophomore kicker for the University of Manitoba in Canada.
“Is she as good a kicker as Butker . . . Not yet,” Hamm wrote. “But she’s got three more years at the college level to keep getting better.”
If not Turner, Hamm suggested three other women, each of whom had very limited playing time on college football teams ranging all the way back to 1997 with the most recent being in 2020.
None of these other female kickers Hamm recommended kicked anything more than three extra points.
But if the Chiefs aren’t satisfied with any of those downgrades, Hamm offers one more idea to completely embarrass Butker – women’s soccer players.
“There are more than 300 players on the 14 teams in the National Women’s Soccer League,” Hamm declared. “That’s more than 300 women who are professional ball kickers and don’t currently choose to be stay-at-home housewives.”
Leftist outraged at Harrison Butker are putting cancel culture on full display.
It’s not enough for them to simply debate Butker’s beliefs, counter them, or condemn them.
No, radical leftists have to come for his livelihood.
And not only that – they want to rub salt in his wound.
This coming from the side that claims to stand for “tolerance” and “inclusion.”
