Elon Musk made powerful enemies when he purchased Twitter.

But he has not backed down from speaking out against the unhinged Left.

And Musk forced one globalist organization to fold up shop.

Musk wins small victory against censorship

Elon Musk paid $44 billion for Twitter in order to take the social media giant private.

It was the only way he could reinstitute free speech as a value on the platform.

Musk also vowed to fight the “woke mind virus” before it destroyed everything.

For these reasons, Musk has become a supervillain to people on the Left even though he had previously been a darling of the elite class.

For instance, he once had a cameo in Iron Man 2.

One of Musk’s recent projects has been going after an organization called the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM).

GARM is one of many “independent” organizations that compose the Censorship Industrial Complex.

It is used to attack the advertisers of companies if they deviate too far from the allowable narrative.

However, Musk filed a lawsuit against GARM, and the organization soon disbanded.

Business Insider reported that the “advertising trade group The World Federation of Advertisers told its members on Thursday that it was ‘discontinuing’ activities for its Global Alliance for Responsible Media [GARM] initiative following an antitrust lawsuit filed by Elon Musk’s X against the company earlier this week.”

On its face, it seems like Musk’s lawsuit exposed a clear-cut case of collusion among corporations.

“Stephan Loerke, the CEO of the WFA, wrote in an email to members. . .that the decision was ‘not made lightly’ but that GARM is a not-for-profit organization with limited resources,” Business Insider added.

Musk’s lawsuit accused GARM of “collectively withhold[ing] billions of dollars in advertising revenue” from his social media company, and others.

Massive corporations like Unilever, Mars, and CVS were also named in the lawsuit.

The GARM mission

In response, Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino wrote on the platform, “No small group should be able to monopolize what gets monetized. This is an important acknowledgement and a necessary step in the right direction. I am hopeful that it means ecosystem-wide reform is coming.”

Business Insider continued, “Founded in 2019, GARM is a US-based initiative that created frameworks to provide common definitions around areas like hate speech, brand safety, and misinformation. Its 100-plus members include major advertisers, agency groups, and ad tech platforms.”

GARM’s framework was voluntary, but that’s how soft power like this works.

Nothing is binding, yet it becomes the justification for withholding ad revenue, and it all seems to flow in one direction ideologically.

Musk was hit hard after his social media platform suffered a massive loss in advertising after what seemed to be coordination against him.

House Judiciary Committee spokesman Russell Dye said in a statement, “This is a big win for the First Amendment and a big win for Chairman [Jim] Jordan’s oversight work.”

The Censorship Industrial Complex network is vast, so the fight is far from over.

But the dissolution of GARM shows that when these organizations are exposed to sunlight, they often have no defenses for their actions.
