The answers are slowly coming out about what led to Donald Trump’s shooting.
But no one thought it would go in this direction.
And a shocking video exposed this unforgivable decision by the Secret Service.
Secret Service tried to blame local law enforcement for its failures
The biggest security lapse that nearly caused former President Donald Trump to be assassinated at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, was leaving the building where the gunman fired from unguarded.
It was left outside the security perimeter during the rally despite being 130 yards away from the podium with a clear line of sight.
Disgraced former Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle tried to blame the slightly sloped roof as being too dangerous for any agent.
The agency tried to blame local law enforcement for not securing the building and not having its counter-sniper teams securing it.
Acting Secret Service director Ronald Rowe eventually admitted it was his agency’s fault.
“This was a Secret Service failure,” Rowe told reporters. “That roof should have been covered. We should have had eyes on that.”
And he absolved local law enforcement of blame for not securing the building.
A shocking new video from police body cam footage revealed that local law enforcement warned the Secret Service about the building.
Secret Service ignored a critical warning from local law enforcement
The Wall Street Journal released bodycam footage of an angry Butler Township police officer saying that he warned the Secret Service about the building after Trump was shot.
🚨 Butler Police officer on Body Cam:
“I f*cking told them that they needed to post guys f*cking over here…I told them that f*cking Tuesday.. I talked to the Secret Service guys. They’re like, ‘Yeah, no problem. We’re going to post guys over here.” pic.twitter.com/sDhlnvLbst

“I f**king told them that they needed to post guys f**king over here…I told them that f**king Tuesday,” the officer said in the video. “I talked to the Secret Service guys. They’re like, ‘Yeah, no problem. We’re going to post guys over here.’”
The Secret Service left the building unguarded after promising to do it.
Another officer arrived outside the building bewildered about what happened.
“I thought you guys were on the roof,” the officer said. “I thought it was you. I thought it was you.”
The Butler Township officer said the Secret Service was inside the building.
“What the f**K,” the officer said. “Why were we not on the roof? Why weren’t we?”
There was a total breakdown in communication between local law enforcement that was helping with security and the Secret Service at Bulter.
Trump’s Secret Service detail was forced to lean heavily on local law enforcement for security because of a lack of resources and manpower.
A whistleblower told U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) that the lead agent in charge of the Butler rally was inexperienced and incompetent.
Local enforcement leadership wasn’t allowed at the Secret Service command center that coordinated security for the event.
A Beaver County, Pennsylvania, SWAT team sniper told ABC News that his unit never spoke to the Secret Service until after Trump was shot.
More and more damning evidence keeps coming about the embattled agency’s failures at the Butler rally.
The Secret Service has refused to answer questions and has tried to avoid accountability since the shooting.
It’s becoming clear that it needs to be overhauled from top to bottom.
