DC juries sent every January 6 defendant Biden prosecuted to prison.
Now those same jurors just let an MS-13 kingpin walk twice – after hearing him order a murder in his own words.
What is happening inside those courtrooms goes far beyond one gang case.
The MS-13 Mistrial That Is Now Happening for the Third Time
Moises Rivera-Luna isn't some street-level thug.
Federal prosecutors allege he ran an MS-13 coalition from a Salvadoran prison cell, ordering the killing of members who cooperated with law enforcement.
The DOJ called him "Viejo Santos" – Old Saint.
They had audio of Rivera-Luna telling an MS-13 contact, "You have 13 days to eat chicken."
A cooperating witness translated: that meant he had 13 days to kill someone.
Trump's DOJ extradited Rivera-Luna from Guatemala in March 2025 and finally put him in front of a DC jury.
Mistrial. December 17, 2025.
Jeanine Pirro, the US Attorney for the District of Columbia, immediately sought a retrial.
Mistrial again. April 20, 2026.
Both times, a holdout juror – openly declaring an inability to be impartial – blew up the deliberations.
Judge Royce Lamberth, a Reagan appointee with nearly 40 years on the DC bench, called what he witnessed unlike anything in his career.
"I've done this a long time and haven't seen one quite like this one," he said.
Biden Got 100 Percent Convictions in the Same Courtrooms
Federal juries nationwide convict defendants roughly 90 percent of the time.
Pirro's office isn't anywhere close.
Before the second MS-13 mistrial in April, DC juries had convicted in only four of eight federal trials in 2026.
After the MS-13 hung jury, prosecutors tried nearly a dozen more cases in DC's federal court.
Two defendants walked on outright acquittals.
Four more trials ended in complete deadlock – jurors reporting back that deliberations were "hopeless" and had reached total "impasse."
Compare that to Pirro's predecessor Matthew Graves, Biden's DC US Attorney.
Graves posted a 100 percent conviction rate against January 6 defendants before these same DC juries.
Trump's DOJ brings an MS-13 kingpin with murder-order audio into those same courtrooms and can't get twelve people to agree he's guilty.
George Soros Is Funding DC Jury Nullification Training
The Washington Examiner traced the money.
Free DC runs juror training seminars across Washington under the fiscal sponsorship of Community Change and Community Change Action – and calls itself a project of both organizations.
Their pitch: "Jury duty is not just a civic responsibility; it's a powerful tool for ensuring fairness and justice."
Their event materials called on DC residents to "influence outcomes and help create a more equitable legal process."
George Soros' Open Society Foundations and the Tides Foundation have bankrolled the parent organizations running these operations.
Freedom Trainers, another group under Community Change's umbrella, has been coaching left-wing activists across Washington on how to land jury seats in Trump DOJ cases – with explicit instructions to vote not guilty regardless of the evidence.
The Washington Examiner observed one of these public training sessions firsthand in August 2026.
Harriet's Wildest Dreams, a co-hosting group, held five such workshops in 2025 alone.
The first MS-13 trial began December 2, 2025 – the same month Free DC was running online seminars on how to get onto DC juries and "influence outcomes."
Why the Crossfire Hurricane Case Left DC for Florida
Prosecutor Joseph diGenova packed his bags for Fort Pierce because he read the scoreboard.
The Russiagate grand conspiracy probe – targeting former FBI Director James Comey, former CIA Director John Brennan, and others who ran the Crossfire Hurricane operation against Trump – is being built in the Southern District of Florida, not Washington.
DiGenova settled in at the Fort Pierce courthouse, where Judge Aileen Cannon presides.
When a DC jury won't convict a man who said "eat chicken" as code for a murder order – on audio – the idea of putting James Comey in front of those same jurors becomes a fantasy.
Moving the probe to Fort Pierce is about surviving a jury pool that left-wing groups have been working to poison for two years.
Comey was already indicted in September 2025 on false statements and obstruction charges tied directly to his Crossfire Hurricane testimony before Congress.
The Florida grand jury is hunting something bigger – the full arc of the operation, from the fabricated Steele dossier origins through the intelligence community assessment that Comey insisted include the debunked opposition research to cast a shadow over Trump's 2016 victory.
DC Jury Nullification Has Already Rigged the Venue
Soros-funded groups spent years training Washington residents to treat jury service as political resistance – and DC's conviction rate collapsed exactly as designed.
The Deep State built its defensive line in Washington and diGenova walked away from it.
DiGenova and Judge Cannon are in Fort Pierce, and the grand jury has issued more than 130 subpoenas.
A newly discovered FBI document spanning several hundred pages – exposing fresh malfeasance inside Crossfire Hurricane, according to RealClearInvestigations sources – is in prosecutors' hands in a venue where activist holdouts haven't already stacked the jury box.
