The League of Women Voters got caught handing out gift cards to register voters in Kansas.
Now a second left-wing group just got caught doing something even worse in Wichita.
And Donald Trump just made sure the whole country knows about it.
Kris Kobach Issues His Second Voter Fraud Warning in Kansas in Six Weeks
Six weeks earlier, Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach had sent a cease-and-desist letter to the League of Women Voters after photos surfaced of their operatives handing $5 Starbucks gift cards to high school students who registered to vote.
He told them: "Paying people to register or to vote is illegal, period."
The Left ignored him.
Kobach issued a second cease and desist against Bluestem Kansas, a left-wing nonprofit, demanding they stop paying Kansans to vote before Tuesday's election.
The gift card wasn't handed out at a school registration table this time.
They sent canvassers door to door in Wichita with $5 gift cards three days before a federal election.
Kobach's office obtained evidence from a voter who was approached at the door by a Bluestem canvasser and offered the card on the spot.
"This sounds like Chicago in the 1950s, not Kansas in the 2020s," Kobach said.
"As long as I am attorney general, those who violate our election laws will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
Under Kansas law, election bribery – giving, offering, or agreeing to give a benefit in exchange for a vote – is a severity level 7 nonperson felony.
Federal law separately makes it a crime to pay or offer to pay anyone for voting in an election that includes federal candidates.
Bluestem Kansas operatives aren't looking at a fine – they're looking at prison.
President Trump didn't wait for cable news to cover this one.
He announced the scheme Sunday on Truth Social, revealing that Kobach has photographic evidence of the operative going door to door in Wichita offering gift cards for votes.
"We have photographic evidence. This is a Criminal Offense!" Trump wrote.
He then published Kobach's office phone number – 785-296-2215 – and called on any Kansans with information to contact the AG immediately.
Trump turned his Truth Social account into a tip line for a federal election fraud investigation.
Kobach has prosecuted voter fraud in Kansas for over a decade – noncitizen voting, double voting – and said he had never seen a group this brazen.
He's going to prosecute them.
Democrats have spent years calling Republican concerns about election integrity a conspiracy theory.
Three campaign workers in New Jersey were indicted for offering $20 Shop-Rite gift cards in exchange for completed mail-in ballots. An alderman in Canton, Mississippi was prosecuted for buying votes with cash and a Walmart gift card.
The Heritage Foundation's Election Fraud Database has documented more than 1,200 proven instances of voter fraud from nearly every state, counting only cases with actual criminal convictions.
Kris Kobach has now issued two cease-and-desist letters to two different left-wing groups in Kansas in the same election cycle.
Bluestem Kansas isn't some scrappy local volunteer outfit.
It's a 501(c)(4) that has received money from the Sixteen Thirty Fund – a Washington, D.C. dark money operation that has pumped hundreds of millions of dollars into Democrat causes across the country.
Someone in D.C. decided Kansas was worth buying.
Democrats haven't won a Kansas Senate seat since 1932 – Roger Marshall should be cruising to reelection.
Instead, polls show Democrat Adam Hamilton, a Johnson County pastor, in a genuine toss-up.
The Cook Political Report moved the race from Lean Republican to Toss Up.
Trump held a rally for Marshall in October and flew back for a second one on Sunday.
When Democrats are sending canvassers door to door with gift cards in Kansas three days before Election Day, they're telling you how close they believe this race is – and how far they're willing to go to win it.
They couldn't win on the issues, so they tried to buy it.
The voters of Kansas decide whether that works.
