Soros Backed Group Caught Rigging DC Juries Against Trump Just Got Hit With a Congressional Probe

A Washington DC jury acquitted the man caught on video assaulting a federal agent with a sandwich.

Now Congress may have found out why.

A Soros-funded network has been quietly placing operatives inside DC jury pools – and what their leader said at a training just reached Congress.

How a Soros Network Built a National Jury Nullification Operation to Infiltrate Federal Jury Pools

Three Soros-connected groups built this operation: Harriet's Wildest Dreams, a prison abolition outfit founded in 2021 by former Black Lives Matter leaders; Free DC, the street-protest group that has made disrupting Trump's second term a full-time mission in Washington; and Freedom Trainers, the national arm whose fiscal sponsor is Community Change, the same Soros-backed nonprofit bankrolling all of them.

Free DC's executive director, Keya Chatterjee, co-founded Freedom Trainers.

The method is identical across all three: hide your politics from attorneys during jury selection, get seated, then vote not guilty no matter what the evidence shows.

Freedom Trainers instructs attendees to stay silent about jury nullification during selection, keep their politics invisible, and tell attorneys they will weigh the evidence fairly.

Once seated, the pamphlet tells them to vote not guilty for any reason they personally believe is right.

Every Monday morning, Freedom Trainers sends volunteers to stand outside courthouses distributing pamphlets before prospective jurors report inside.

Constitutional experts say a juror who deliberately hides intentions to get seated has crossed a legal line.

None of this is a handful of angry people with a card table.

Free DC and Freedom Trainers are both fiscally sponsored by Community Change, a nonprofit backed by George Soros' Open Society Foundations.

Harriet's Wildest Dreams co-founder Qiana Johnson – who has a criminal record for theft – has been running the DC training sessions for nearly two years.

Freedom Trainers has spread far beyond DC, claiming it has already trained hundreds of thousands of activists across the country.

The radical Left built a professional, nationally coordinated machine to poison federal jury pools – and it ran quietly while Trump's prosecutors couldn't figure out why their cases kept collapsing.

James Comer Opens Investigation Into the Jury Nullification Network Behind Trumps DC Losses

Trump's Justice Department has been unable to win in Washington DC – and the losses keep piling up.

DC grand juries have repeatedly refused to indict anti-Trump defendants, and DC US Attornery Jeanine Pirro has taken heat from every direction over cases she should have won at trial.

Freedom Trainers was explicitly targeting those cases.

Founder Daniel Hunter built a webinar around the viral "sandwich guy" – walking attendees through every reason a grand jury could refuse to indict him.

That grand jury refused to indict.

A DC trial jury later acquitted Sean Dunn, the guy who threw a Subway sandwich at federal agents, on the misdemeanor assault charge entirely.

Johnson boasted at the August training that her group deserves "maybe about 40-50% of the credit for the sandwich guy," claiming she believed a trained activist had served on that jury.

In September, a jury deadlocked in the bribery trial of former DC Councilman Trayon White, producing a mistrial.

Harriet's Wildest Dreams posted a celebration on Instagram, and their executive director, Nee Nee Taylor, had sat through nearly every day of the trial in support of the former councilman.

Trump's Justice Department issued a formal statement condemning the effort: "The Department takes jury nullification and interference with official proceedings extremely seriously," adding that groups attempting to improperly sway juries will be held accountable.

The Washington Examiner's investigation into these groups triggered a direct response from Rep. James Comer's House Oversight Committee, which sent formal letters to both organizations this week.

Comer said the groups are coaching people to misrepresent themselves during selection and hide their real intentions from judges and prosecutors.

The committee told both groups their training programs are an assault on the rule of law and the constitutional right to an impartial jury.

Comer wants every email, event recording, attendee list, training document, and funding record both groups have produced since January 2025, along with the names of any outside advisers.

The deadline is October 27 – subpoenas follow if the groups don't comply.

Judicial Crisis Network president Carrie Severino said dark-money networks have moved past backing radical prosecutors and activist judges into targeting the jury box itself.

This is not a DC jury culture problem nobody can explain.

It is a Soros-funded national operation that has spent two years placing operatives inside federal jury pools, coaching them to lie through jury selection and vote to acquit Trump's targets once seated.

They trained hundreds of thousands of people nationwide and are already bragging publicly about which cases they helped tank.

What is already documented makes the case for a criminal obstruction referral – and Comer has until October 27 to get the rest.
