Kamala Harris is running a deeply dishonest Presidential campaign.
She is suddenly reversing all of her old radical positions.
But Kamala Harris told this one story about her past that just came back to haunt her.
Kamala’s McDonald’s problem
Kamala Harris is running perhaps the most shameless Presidential campaign ever before seen.
During the 2020 Democrat Primary, Harris ran to Bernie Sanders’ left.
GovTrack scored her as the most left-wing Senator in 2019.
She promised everything from eliminating private healthcare to providing taxpayer-funded transgender surgeries for noncitizen prison inmates.
But now Harris is attempting to rebrand herself as a sensible moderate.
She has flip-flopped on various positions including fracking and border security.
Harris even appeared in a campaign ad where she toured Donald Trump’s border wall and called for crackdowns on illegal immigration.
Harris also stole Trump’s no tax on tips proposal.
However, Harris cannot run from her past.
She has said so many radical things and told so many lies that she cannot keep everything straight.
For example, Harris has said numerous times that she worked at McDonald’s, but that claim has not been verified.
Instead of putting pressure on Harris to provide evidence for the claim, the media have instead chosen to attack Trump for questioning her assertion.
Trump said at a campaign rally, “She’s a liar. She doesn’t work at McDonald’s. She said she worked at McDonald’s, right? . . . She worked at McDonald’s. And she was working so hard. There’s only one problem. She didn’t work at McDonald’s. She’s a liar.”
The Democrat-controlled media have jumped all over Trump for making these statements.
There’s just one problem.
The press cannot debunk his claims.
Media trying and failing to defend Harris
Harris’ story does not add up at all.
She has routinely claimed to have worked at McDonald’s in a desperate attempt to appeal to blue-collar voters.
But her parents were both professors.
Her father was a Marxist economics professor at Stanford, and she went to high school in a well-off suburb in Montreal.
According to her timeline, she worked at McDonald’s in the summer of 1983 in the Bay Area, but she was still living with her mother at the time.
So perhaps she was visiting her father and briefly worked at McDonald’s, but she has never provided evidence.
Even liberal fact-checking site Snopes rated her claim “unproven.”
Snopes reported that “there was no tangible evidence of Harris working at McDonald’s as a college student. We reached out to Harris’ campaign, as well as McDonald’s headquarters, seeking tax records or other proof — which could include photos or videos of her working at the restaurant, employment records or physical items such as a uniform or name tag. We also reached out to Harris’ sister, Maya, as well as a close friend from Howard University seeking comment, and looked for public interviews by friends or family members of Harris’ to confirm the story, with no luck.”
The Washington Post had a similar report, but ran cover for Harris by saying that it was impossible to prove that she worked at McDonald’s.
The paper reached out to the two possible restaurants Harris could have worked at in the Bay Area location she cited, and it also came back empty.
The Post reported, “I called both [stores], without success. Again, unsurprisingly: This was 40 years ago. I also discovered that both restaurants are owned by members of the same family. My call to them was not returned, even when I touted the potential historic nature of their franchises. Then I reached out to McDonald’s corporate, both to the company and to the company’s archivist (which, as an aside, seems like a very interesting job). No dice.”
Amazingly, the media don’t find this at all strange.
The Post added that the claim was “‘unprovable,’ barring some release of records from the Social Security Administration.”
That’s correct.
Harris could get the information from the Social Security Administration if she wanted to prove that she worked there.
But she doesn’t want to, and the media won’t put any pressure on her.
