Tulsi Gabbard has a lot to get done before she leaves the Trump administration on June 30.
She wants to expose the government's biggest cover-up before she walks out the door.
And she's racing to declassify one secret Anthony Fauci never wanted to see the light of day.
Gabbard Moves to Declassify COVID Cover-Up Documents Before June 30
Tulsi Gabbard has a little over three weeks left as Director of National Intelligence – and she's using every one of them to rip the lid off two of the biggest secrets the deep state ever kept.
"DNI Gabbard is actively working to declassify information about the COVID-19 pandemic and Anomalous Health Incidents before June 30," an ODNI official told the Daily Caller.
Anomalous health incidents – better known as Havana syndrome – are the mysterious neurological attacks that have left American diplomats and spies with debilitating brain injuries.
The COVID side of that equation leads straight back to Anthony Fauci – and a CIA whistleblower who just told the Senate exactly what happened.
CIA Whistleblower Exposes Fauci Role in Wuhan Lab Leak Cover-Up
James Erdman III isn't some disgruntled bureaucrat.
He's a two-decade CIA senior operations officer who spent over a year inside Gabbard's own Director's Initiatives Group, leading the investigation into COVID origins.
What he found was damning.
Erdman testified before Sen. Rand Paul's Senate Homeland Security Committee on May 13 that the CIA's biological experts repeatedly concluded a lab accident caused the pandemic.
Senior bureaucrats watered those conclusions down every time.
Fauci sat at the center of it.
According to Erdman's written statement, Fauci attended an interagency meeting on June 4, 2021, and gave the intelligence community specific guidance on which outside scientists to consult – scientists already on record pushing the natural origin theory.
One senior DNI official questioned whether it was appropriate to let Fauci shape the IC's conclusions at all.
The NIC officer running the review overruled that concern and designated Fauci a "subject matter expert" – the same Fauci who told Congress in 2024 under oath that he was "not an evolutionary virologist."
Erdman called that designation in "direct contrast" to Fauci's own sworn testimony.
Gabbard is working to release 2,000 classified documents related to COVID's origins before June 30.
Congress passed a law in 2023 mandating those documents be declassified.
Biden's intelligence chief Avril Haines looked at that law and responded with a few pages of summary.
Sen. Josh Hawley, who co-authored the legislation, said she flouted the law.
Erdman told the Senate he personally reviewed thousands of pages of material Haines never released.
The CIA made it harder.
As Erdman and Gabbard's task force dug in, the CIA denied the team documents, illegally surveilled its own personnel, and fired one of the task force's witnesses the day after he cooperated with congressional investigators.
Meanwhile, Fauci's top adviser at NIH – Dr. David Morens – was indicted on April 28 for conspiring to destroy federal records tied to COVID research grants.
Morens admitted in his own emails that he deleted anything he didn't want to see in the press and routed official communications through his personal Gmail to dodge federal records law.
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche called it a profound abuse of trust during the height of a global pandemic.
Gabbard has already declassified more than 500,000 pages of previously secret government documents since taking office – JFK assassination records, Russiagate files, UAP materials.
The COVID documents are the ones that matter most to Americans who were told for two years that questioning the science was dangerous misinformation.
CIA analysts never believed that.
The analysts who got the story right were overruled by officials Fauci helped select.
Sen. Hawley said in May he hoped Fauci would be indicted – and noted the statute of limitations for potential perjury charges expired just two days before Erdman took his seat at the witness table.
The documents Gabbard releases before June 30 won't bring those charges back.
But they will show the public exactly what was hidden, who hid it, and who told them nothing was there.
