Donald Trump has been relentlessly attacked for eight years.

His political opponents have thrown everything at him, including an assassination attempt.

Now Trump’s campaign was hit with one jaw-dropping burglary.

Burglary at Trump campaign office

Add “campaign office break-in” to the list of attacks against Donald Trump.

In addition to Trump’s campaign being hacked, a physical campaign office was the target of a burglary in Virginia.

POLITICO reported that authorities “are investigating a burglary at a Donald Trump campaign office in suburban Virginia, circulating surveillance video of a man inside the building with what appears to be a full backpack. . .The building, in a suburban office park about 30 miles west of downtown Washington, also serves as the headquarters of the Virginia 10th District Republican Committee.”

It’s already been a month since Trump almost got assassinated at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, and the investigation into that incident has gotten nowhere.

There likely will not be much urgency to get to the bottom of this break-in.

Sheriff Mike Chapman said in a statement, “It is rare to have the office of any political campaign or party broken into. . .We are determined to identify the suspect, investigate why it happened, and determine what may have been taken as well as what may have been left behind.”

POLITICO added that surveillance footage “showed a man in a black baseball cap and dark clothing with the backpack strapped to his chest. The statement did not say what, if anything, was taken. The incident comes as the FBI says that it has opened an investigation into the apparent hacking of Trump’s presidential campaign that resulted in the release of sensitive campaign documents.”

The Trump campaign has yet to comment on the issue.

Parallels to Nixon

The last time there was a campaign office break-in during a Presidential election, it was the Watergate scandal in 1972.

To this day, Watergate is portrayed as the biggest political scandal of all time.

It launched the careers of Bob Woodward, Carl Bernstein, John Dean, and others involved.

Watergate was also the basis for the film All the President’s Men.

Coincidentally, the 50th anniversary of Richard Nixon’s resignation recently occurred on August 9.

Tucker Carlson just interviewed Geoff Shepard, a lawyer who worked on Nixon’s defense and who has dedicated the last 50 years to investigating Watergate.

Throughout the years, Shepard has exposed many of the lies told about Watergate, including the egregious lawfare used against Nixon, which served as the foundation for the lawfare later used against Trump.

Shepard’s research fueled the recently-released documentary Watergate Secrets and Betrayals.

The Washington, D.C. Swamp has made it clear that Trump getting a second term is unacceptable.

Permanent Washington will stop at nothing to thwart him.

Endless leaks by the Deep State undermined his Presidency, but did not deter Trump.

The unprecedented lawfare has not worked, either.

And Trump literally dodged a bullet.

It’s chilling to think what Trump’s political enemies will try next.
