Portland antifa threatened to blind Border Patrol pilots by shining lasers at their helicopters.
That was the plan – until now.
What Trump just did to the network behind it will have them calling their lawyers.
The Italian Server Running Rose City Antifa's Doxxing Operation
The group is called Autistici/Inventati – the A/I Collective – an Italy-based hacker network founded in 2001 that quietly became the backbone of far-left terrorism infrastructure across the Western world.
It built a full suite of digital tools – encrypted communications, anonymous hosting, secure conferencing – offered exclusively to "anti-fascist" activists to keep their operations hidden from law enforcement.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the Treasury Department dropped the hammer – officially designating the A/I Collective a Specially Designated Global Terrorist under Executive Order 13224.
The result was immediate.
Autistici.org went unreachable within days as the Public Interest Registry pulled the domain at the registry level.
Thousands of radical left-wing blogs, mailing lists, and communication networks blinked out.
"Words completely fail me when addressing the potential loss to the anarchist movement," one self-described anarchist wrote on X – "5,500 mailing lists, and 10,000 blogs."
The Specially Designated Global Terrorist label is not symbolic.
It freezes any A/I Collective assets under American jurisdiction, bars U.S. financial institutions from doing business with the group, and exposes any American individual or organization still using its services after September 25 to civil or criminal penalties.
Jane's Revenge Used the Same Network to Recruit Pregnancy Center Bombers
This was not a political speech platform.
Rose City Antifa – Portland's most violent communist cell – used A/I-hosted sites to publish the home addresses of ICE agents alongside explicit calls for attacks against them in the streets and at their houses.
Those same servers hosted the coordination for an attack on Customs and Border Protection helicopters, resulting in a federal indictment.
Jane's Revenge – the far-left group that firebombed anti-abortion pregnancy centers from Colorado to New York – used A/I's blogging platform to recruit, take credit for attacks, and urge followers to commit their own bombings.
A University of California, Berkeley student named Casey Goonan used an A/I-hosted site called Abolition Media to claim responsibility for California arsons – including one in solidarity with Hamas – and received a 19-year sentence with a terrorism enhancement.
The same network connected to anarchist cells in Europe that sabotaged rail systems across France, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands in 2026, and blew the Transalpine Pipeline in March 2026 – temporarily cutting crude oil flow to Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic.
One A/I-hosted site doubled as a terror training manual – publishing attack guides and location maps for American targets including power infrastructure, pipelines, bridges and military supply lines.
That same site also distributed communiqués and calls to action from Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The State Department described it as a tool for militants worldwide to share "essential information" to be "acted upon."
Biden Watched the Same Network Operate for Years and Did Nothing
The A/I designation did not come from nowhere.
Trump signed an executive order in September 2025 designating antifa a domestic terrorist organization – the first time in American history that a president had done so.
That November, the State Department made its first-ever foreign terrorist designations of antifa-affiliated groups in Europe, targeting cells in Germany, Italy and Greece.
The A/I Collective designation is the next logical step – cutting the digital throat of the entire international network.
Biden's Justice Department watched A/I-hosted sites openly post criminal communiqués for years and did nothing to the network.
The FBI investigated individual cases – Jane's Revenge, the Berkeley arsonist – but never moved against the platform enabling all of it.
Kyle Shideler, an analyst at the Center for Security Policy who testified for federal prosecutors in a successful Texas antifa terrorism case, had a blunt assessment.
"I genuinely believe they thought the Trump admin would just flail around and do some performative stuff and they could laugh it off," Shideler told the Washington Examiner. "They're a bit surprised I think."
That surprise is by design.
Trump did not announce this and wait — he built the legal architecture first: the domestic terrorist designation in September 2025, the European FTO designations in November, the Texas antifa prosecution, the Minneapolis indictments.
Every step tightened the net before A/I Collective knew the net existed.
Antifa groups now have until September 25 to stop using A/I Collective services or face civil and criminal penalties.
The clock is running.
