Democrats are desperate to find traction as the election cycle heats up.
Joe Biden is bleeding support, even among celebrities.
And comedian Russell Brand made one comment about the 2024 election that had Democrats fuming.
Comedian and actor Russell Brand has been on a rollercoaster over the past few years.
He became a big critic of the COVID regime and globalist tyranny, which put him at odds with his old friends on the Left.
The smearing of Russell Brand
Suddenly, Brand was a pariah, and his licentious behavior as a liberal movie star was being weaponized against him.
It was fine when he was on board with the establishment narrative, but that changed when he started talking about COVID and free speech issues.
Brand has since become a Christian, and his independent voice has grown massively.
During a conversation with RNC spokesperson Elizabeth Pipko, a former model who was “canceled” for her right-leaning views, Brand confessed that if he had a choice between Donald Trump and Joe Biden—or more accurately, his handlers—he would side with Trump.
Brand told Pipko, “In a straight choice between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, if you care about democracy, if you care about freedom, I don’t know how you could do anything other than vote for Donald Trump for precisely the reasons that they claim that you can’t.”
Ironically, Democrats are stampeding over institutional norms in order to save “democracy.”
They are throwing their political opponents in jail, and openly talking about packing the Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, people are led to believe that an 81-year-old Biden in obvious cognitive decline is running the show.
He is clearly being stage-managed, but by whom is the question.
Brand continued, “They act as if a vote for Donald Trump is almost like you’re directly voting for Armageddon, like you see hysterical performances outside of courtrooms, endless MSNBC bombast.”
Supposedly serious anchors have said that 2024 will literally be the last election if Trump wins.
The greatest threat
“But I’m starting to think that no, a greater threat to democracy is this kind of technological feudalism, that tells you that it cares about you and that it’s protecting vulnerable people, all the while increasing censorship, increasing the funding of wars, increasing the division between ordinary Americans,” Brand stated.
The establishment is using the boogeyman of disinformation to justify shutting up voices that run counter to the narrative.
Brand added, “For a long time, Elizabeth, I’ve been concerned about the snobbery and the contempt and condemnation in which people that support Donald Trump are plainly held by his detractors. . .And this is while you have an administration that’s emulating his policies, plagiarizing from Donald Trump, while simultaneously criminalizing him from the weaponization of the legal system.”
The Biden administration recently issued an executive order to appear tough on illegal immigration, but it was all for show because Biden’s policies are so unpopular.
Biden is also cribbing Trump’s trade policies.
Brand told Pipko, “The idea of this. . .Orwellian nightmare continuing all the while they’re telling you that they’re helping you, is a far greater threat than their constant portrayal of Trump as a mad strongman figure, a kind of twenty-first century reiteration of the despotism of the last century.”
Brand referenced George Orwell, who wrote scathing critiques of left-wing authoritarianism in 1984 and Animal Farm.
However, the soft totalitarianism of Brave New World, written by Orwell’s teacher and mentor Aldous Huxley, perhaps more accurately captures the tactics of the establishment.
Needless to say, Trump is so vilified because he is a rejection of establishment tyranny.
