Attorney General Merrick Garland is going above and beyond his role to do the bidding of Joe Biden.

He is clearly playing hardball politics at the Department of Justice.

And Garland got caught red-handed hiding one Joe Biden tape for this jaw-dropping reason.

Democrats have unleashed unprecedented lawfare against Donald Trump.

One case that’s still up in the air is the classified documents matter.

Classified documents double standard

That particular case was defanged when Joe Biden got popped for the same infraction, as did Hillary Clinton and Mike Pence.

The idea of throwing the book at Trump while others got a walk is preposterous.

Nevertheless, Democrats have moved forward with the Trump prosecution.

But there are lingering questions about Biden’s classified documents case.

Special Counsel Robert Hur recommended that Biden not be prosecuted because he was an “elderly man with a poor memory.”

Even though Hur effectively cleared Biden from prosecution, his characterization of Biden infuriated the Democrats and their media allies.

Some on the Left even called for Hur to be investigated.

A transcript of Hur’s interviews with Biden confirmed the details of his report, but House Republicans wanted a tape of the interview released.

That’s when Attorney General Merrick Garland stepped in to stop the release on ridiculous grounds of executive privilege.

Garland said in a statement, “The absence of a legitimate need for the audio recordings lays bare your likely goal – to chop them up, distort them, and use them for partisan political purposes.”

Democrats have built up this laughable narrative that Biden is sharp as a tack behind closed doors, but sometimes struggles in front of the camera.

Republicans wanted to hear the tapes so people could judge Biden’s behind-the-scenes comportment for themselves.

And the DOJ has already admitted that the transcripts were altered to make Biden seem less incoherent.

Altered transcripts

Associate Deputy Attorney General Bradley Weinsheimer wrote in a report, “In a few instances, the transcripts indicate that some words from the audio recording are indiscernible. In listening to the audio recording and reviewing the transcripts, I agree that in those instances the words are indiscernible.”

Reading “indiscernible” is not the same as hearing Biden speaking gibberish.

Weinsheimer continued, “The interview transcripts are accurate transcriptions of the words of the interview contained in the audio recording, except for minor instances such as the use of filler words (such as “um” or “uh”) when speaking that are not always reflected on the transcripts, or when words may have been repeated when spoken (such as “I, I” or “and, and”) but sometimes was only listed a single time in the transcripts.”

So Biden’s stammering and derailed trains of thought that were not included in the transcript.

It should be noted that official White House transcripts of public statements tend to have the stall words and included for the record.

But when it comes to this closed-door meeting, where Biden supposedly transforms into Ronald Reagan, the American people do not get a wholly accurate account.
