The Clintons thought their Epstein problem was going to quietly go away.
This is one scandal they won’t be able to sweep under the rug.
And Bill and Hillary Clinton are terrified to answer this question about Jeffrey Epstein.
Clintons carve out time for cash but dodge Epstein testimony
Monday night, Bill and Hillary Clinton helped pull in a record-breaking $2.2 million for Virginia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger during a fundraiser at former Governor Terry McAuliffe’s McLean mansion.¹
More than 350 donors showed up to what became the largest gubernatorial fundraiser in Virginia history, according to Politico.
But here’s what makes this whole circus so disgusting.
Bill Clinton was subpoenaed by House Republicans back in August to testify about his ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein – with his deposition date set for October 14th.²
Hillary got her own subpoena too, though her scheduled date has not been made public.
The timing couldn’t look worse – hosting high-dollar fundraisers while congressional Republicans are trying to get answers about their Epstein connections.
The House Oversight Committee is still negotiating with Clinton attorneys about the depositions, but sources tell the Daily Mail those discussions are ongoing.
The message from the Clintons is crystal clear – they’ll show up anywhere there’s a check to be collected, but when Congress comes calling about Epstein? Suddenly they’re too busy.
The Epstein connection Democrats don’t want you to remember
Vice President JD Vance laid out the uncomfortable truth back in August when these subpoenas first dropped.
"The Democrats have tried to make this Epstein thing about anything but the fact that Democrat billionaires and Democrat political leaders went to Epstein island all the time," Vance told Fox News.³
"We know Clinton allegedly went to Epstein’s infamous island 26 times, 28 times," he added.
House Oversight Chairman James Comer issued deposition subpoenas on August 5th, calling both Clintons to appear for depositions, along with several former DOJ and FBI officials.⁴
Comey managed to weasel out of his subpoena on October 1st by sending a letter claiming he lacked any relevant information about the Committee’s investigation.
Comer bought it and let him off the hook.
At least Comey had the courtesy to send a letter.
The Clintons? They’re still playing hide and seek while the money machine keeps running.
The William J. Clinton Presidential Library contains photos of Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell speaking with then-President Bill Clinton at a 1993 White House event – proving this relationship goes back decades.⁵
What this timing disaster really reveals
Look, here’s what’s really happening.
The Clintons have spent their entire post-presidency cashing in on their political connections while avoiding any real scrutiny about their questionable associations.
They’ll show up anywhere there’s a check to be collected, but when Congress comes calling with legitimate questions about a convicted sex trafficker who had unusual access to the highest levels of government? Suddenly they’re too busy.
For Spanberger, accepting help from the Clintons right now shows incredibly poor judgment.
She’s facing Republican Winsome Earle-Sears in next month’s gubernatorial election, and current polling shows her with a significant lead.
But taking money from people actively dodging Epstein-related testimony isn’t exactly the kind of association that screams good judgment to Virginia voters.
The House petition to release the full Epstein files is expected to move forward in the coming weeks, with Democrat Representative Adelita Grijalva likely to provide the final signature after being sworn in following her September 23rd special election victory.⁶
Maybe when those files come out, we’ll finally understand why the Clintons are so eager to collect checks but so reluctant to answer questions under oath.
Until then, Virginia voters should ask themselves if they really want a governor who thinks the Clinton political machine is worth the baggage that comes with it.
Some associations cost more than they’re worth – and the Clintons have become political poison for anyone still willing to take their money.
