Many already assumed that Big Tech was colluding with the Biden administration on how to best censor and suppress information harmful to the Left.
But last week, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki flat out confirmed that’s exactly what they’re doing, and the firestorm erupted almost immediately.
Now, Biden and Facebook are at war, and your private information is at the center of it.
Last week, in what most believe was her dumbest move yet, Jen Psaki actually admitted that the White House is indeed working with Facebook to “limit misinformation.”
The backlash was swift and fierce.
After Psaki admitted to the administration working with the social media giant to flag supposed “problematic” posts, the Right went on the attack stating that the White House’s actions violate the First Amendment.
Unfortunately for the White House, the problems only got worse from there.
Later that day, Psaki said alleged “misinformation” should be unilaterally banned from other platforms.
On Friday, when confronted by a reporter about Psaki’s comment, Joe Biden stated that he believed Facebook is “killing people” by allowing this alleged misinformation to spread on its platform.
According to his team, these “misinformation” posts are why Biden hasn’t reached his vaccination goals.
Well, that was all Mark Zuckerberg needed to hear.
Looks like the cozy relationship between Facebook and Joe Biden has quickly grown cold.
In a blog post, Vice President of Integrity for Facebook, Guy Rosen, called out Biden for blaming Facebook for the rising COVID-19 cases in America and stated that the claims are just not true.
“The fact is that vaccine acceptance among Facebook users in the U.S. has increased,” Rosen wrote. “These and other facts tell a very different story to the one promoted by the administration in recent days.”
According to Rosen, vaccine hesitancy among U.S. Facebook users “has declined by 50%:”
“Since January, vaccine acceptance on the part of Facebook users in the US has increased by 10-15 percentage points (70% → 80-85%) and racial and ethnic disparities in acceptance have shrunk considerably (some of the populations that had the lowest acceptance in January had the highest increases since). The results of this survey are public and we’ve shared them — alongside other data requested by the administration — with the White House, the CDC and other key partners in the federal government.”
Then Rosen cut right to the heart of the matter, stating that Biden’s Facebook criticism is motivated by the fact that the President failed to deliver on his promise that 70% of American adults would receive at least one COVID vaccine shot by July 4.
“The data shows that 85% of Facebook users in the U.S. have been or want to be vaccinated against COVID-19. President Biden’s goal was for 70% of Americans to be vaccinated by July 4. Facebook is not the reason this goal was missed,” Rosen explained.
Rosen also stated that both Canada and the U.K. have similar Facebook usage rates as the U.S., and those countries both exceeded the goal Biden set for the U.S.
“This all suggests there’s more than Facebook to the outcome in the U.S.,” Rosen said.
Looks like Joe Biden messed with the wrong people.
We’ll have to wait and see how this plays out, but there is no doubt if Zuckerberg so desires he can take down Biden with just a few clicks of the keyboard.
