The world of sports used to be one of the few places left people could go to escape from political narratives in the media.
No more – as most leagues have gone woke to placate the “Social Justice Warriors” on Twitter, Instagram and TikTok.
And now these basketball girls were targeted in a revenge plot in Bernie Sanders’ state—and you won’t believe how they’re being punished.
These days, it seems all the best and most accomplished women are – well, men.
The female record books and award honorees are filled with biological males.
Part of the woke LGBTQ+ agenda is to allow everyone to pick their pronouns of choice and anyone claiming they’re transgender to use whatever bathroom and locker rooms they want to to change and shower in, and to allow men to participate in women’s sports.
The high school girls comprising the Mid Vermont Christian School girls’ basketball team decided to take a stand.
Rather than play against an opposing team with a female-identifying male on the squad, the young ladies decided to forfeit in the game.
The team made the decision because playing against men “jeopardizes the fairness of the game and the safety of our players,” according to Mid Vermont Christian School head Vicky Fogg.
Forced compliance
And now, the Vermont Principals’ Association (VPA) has decided to punish those female student-athletes for life.
In a 15-0 unanimous decision by its board, the VPA has banned those young ladies from participating in any organized sporting events, activities and tournaments in the future.
“The VPA again reiterates its ongoing support of transgender student-athletes as not only a part of building an inclusive community for each student to grow and thrive, but also as a clear expectation by Vermont state law(s) in the Agency of Education Best Practices, and in VPA Policy regarding transgender student athletes,” a statement from the VPA read.
The ban is effective immediately and is set for an indefinite period of time.
However, since these are high school athletes, it is unlikely the decision could be reversed before the upperclassmen graduate.
Which means some of these student-athletes could miss out on scholarships and other potential opportunities due to the ban.
The ultimate patriarchy: when members of “the patriarchy” don maids’ clothing
According to the Vermont school matriarchs of the VPA, the high school girls at a Christian school not wanting to be boxed out and chase rebounds against a male somehow equated to discrimination.
“The prohibition against discrimination includes discrimination based on a student’s actual or perceived sex and gender,” the VPA policy reads.
Of course, all of this stems from the Vermont Principals’ Association’s “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” committee.
For all that leftists like to rail against “the patriarchy” you’d think they would view trans athletes taking over womens’ sports as the ultimate patriarchy.
