Federal agents showed up at Ilhan Omar's front door at 6 a.m. on October 12 with a DOJ-backed search warrant.
Now James Comer is on Fox News spelling out exactly why even a Biden-appointed judge signed off.
Comer told Trey Gowdy exactly where Omar stands in the crime that just got her home raided.
She Was Steering Your Tax Dollars Straight Into the Somali Fraud Ring
House Oversight Committee chair James Comer sat down with Trey Gowdy on Sunday Night in America this weekend and named five separate fraud connections that run directly through Ilhan Omar.
The earmarks come first.
Omar filed earmarks that would have sent federal dollars straight to Somali community groups in Minneapolis.
Comer named them on national television: "She's right in the middle of all of the Somali fraud with the earmarks that she proposed – they were going to go to groups that were right in the thick of all the Somali fraud, all the Medicaid and welfare fraud in Minneapolis."
She wasn't representing her constituents – she was funding the people stealing from them.
Her sister is angle two.
"Her sister was involved in some of these frauds," Comer said, "reportedly $20 million worth of fraud from her sister."
Angle three is the winery.
Omar's financial disclosures showed her husband's businesses jumping from $51,000 in 2023 to $30 million in 2024, with the winery driving a major share of that reported value – before it was reportedly shut down amid fraud allegations.
Comer described what investigators found: "They were apparently selling investors barrels of wine to be aged, but there was nothing in the barrels."
He said the explosion in reported value raises serious questions about where the money came from and whether undisclosed investors were attempting to buy political influence through Omar's husband.
Angle four is the paperwork Omar's family filed when they entered the United States.
Investigators found discrepancies in the age she declared on those documents.
Angle five is the marriage.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin confirmed this year that federal authorities are investigating whether Omar married her biological brother – British citizen Ahmed Nur Said Elmi – to get him into the country.
She has denied it for a decade, and the DOJ stopped listening.
Comer's count: "four or five different angles where you could obtain a search warrant."
The Obama Judge Who Signed the Ilhan Omar Search Warrant
Democrats cannot spin this part away.
The warrant was signed by a judge Comer identified as Biden-appointed – and that same judge donated to multiple Democrat presidential campaigns.
This wasn't a Trump loyalist rubber-stamping a political hit job.
Comer made the point directly: a warrant issued within 60 days of an election, he said, "has to be 100% lawful for that to happen."
A Democrat-donating federal judge reviewed the evidence and said yes.
The Blanche DOJ is now investigating the entire Omar family, and federal investigators have already issued subpoenas to some of her relatives.
Trump announced the probe publicly in January, noting that Omar arrived in America as a refugee and now reportedly sits on more than $44 million in wealth.
The House Oversight Committee found her net worth jumped 3,500%, and when Comer pressed for answers, Omar pointed at her husband's business dealings and went silent.
In a separate Fox News appearance, Comer said the husband committed fraud too.
How Democrats Shielded Ilhan Omar from Immigration Fraud Charges for Ten Years
Anyone who raised questions about her immigration paperwork, her marriage, or her finances got called a racist.
It worked – right up until federal agents were collecting her garbage outside her home to pull a DNA sample, and a Democrat-appointed judge was signing warrants to raid her house.
Tom Homan had confirmed the criminal investigation publicly in September, so the political persecution defense was already dead before that judge ever signed the warrant.
James Comer walked Trey Gowdy through every piece of the case on national television, and not one step in that investigation required a Republican judge, a partisan leak, or a party-line vote to authorize.
Reports indicate investigators took her cellphone, her notebooks, her personal computers, and a DNA sample collected from her garbage.
The bill is coming due.
