Terry McAuliffe told Virginia parents they had no say in what schools were teaching their children.
Philadelphia just proved he was describing a plan, not a problem.
What one Philadelphia activist group has been doing to kindergartners in four public schools just came to light.
The BLM Group That Brought Its Curriculum Into Philadelphia Schools
Philly Children's Movement is a Philadelphia left-wing activist organization that sells workshop and coaching services directly to public schools – and has embedded coaches inside at least four Philadelphia public elementary school classrooms.
It started as a children's march supporting Black Lives Matter in January 2015 and has since built itself into a paid consulting operation with direct access to teacher training summits and a university-backed curriculum.
Its mission statement leaves nothing to interpretation: "in order to create systemic change, we must change the way that people raise children."
That's not a school enrichment program – that's an indoctrination strategy.
At an April 18, 2026 educator summit hosted by Pennsylvania's School in Rose Valley, preschool through second-grade teachers were offered a workshop titled "Nurturing Future Activists" – built around what organizers called "a lifetime of justice work."
Philly Children's Movement led a separate session at the same event, introducing its Radical Morning Meeting framework for turning daily classroom routines into activist training.
The organization describes children as "co-conspirators" in reshaping their thinking and the wider society – a recruiter's word, not a teacher's.
Four Philadelphia Schools Are Running a Radical Indoctrination Pilot
This isn't a plan – it's already running.
By February 2024, Philly Children's Movement named four Philadelphia public elementary schools where the program was operating as a pilot: Alexander Adaire, Vare-Washington, General Philip Kearny, and Spring Garden.
Through a partnership with Partners in School Innovation, the group was coaching kindergarten through eighth-grade teachers at all four schools.
At Alexander Adaire Elementary, an outside activist coach worked directly with a first-grade teacher on lessons centered on Ruby Bridges, Nina Simone, and the civil rights movement – not as history, but as a template for action.
At a Martin Luther King Jr. Day event the group hosted at C.W. Henry Elementary, children as young as kindergarten wrote letters to Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker demanding action on Chinatown, book bans, and gun violence.
That's a six-year-old writing a political demand letter in a taxpayer-funded school building.
The group's own event records document anti-Moms for Liberty activities and protest kits distributed to participants.
Rutgers Just Put Its Name On a Radical Activist Curriculum
Rutgers University's 2023 elementary curriculum lists Philly Children's Movement as a named partner.
The guide asks educators directly: "Am I engaging students in activism and taking action in their schools and communities?"
It includes a third-grade unit called "Becoming an Activist for Racial Justice" – complete with classroom activities where students produce chants, songs, and protest signs.
Students are formally assessed on their ability to present what they've learned about left-wing activist ideology, including information gathered from political activists brought into the classroom.
Rutgers describes the project as university-funded, which means it carries institutional credibility and a distribution pipeline intopartner school districts.
What started at a BLM march in 2015 now carries a Rutgers endorsement.
The Patricia Kind Family Foundation approved $10,000 for the group in 2021, then $15,000 annually for three additional years.
The Greenfield Foundation added general operating support in 2024, specifically to fund school workshops and activism involving children and families.
This Is What School Indoctrination Actually Looks Like
Philly Children's Movement is not a grassroots operation – it's a funded, institutionalized pipeline designed to reach children before they can read.
The Left figured out decades ago that the classroom is the most powerful political recruiting ground in America, and built a system to exploit it.
The summit program used the phrase "lifetime of justice work" to describe what children were being prepared for. The group's own published materials describe those children as "co-conspirators."
None of this was hidden.
Right now, at Alexander Adaire, Vare-Washington, General Philip Kearny, and Spring Garden, that system is running.
Philadelphia parents are owed answers: what's being taught in those classrooms, who approved the outside providers, and how a BLM-founded activist group gained direct coaching access to those teachers.
The school board has them.
