George Soros spent years pouring money into left-wing activist groups to fundamentally transform the country.
Now he’s turned to Big Tech to push his agenda on unsuspecting voters.
And AI has become the next battleground to influence voter behavior for the midterms.
How a George Soros Funded Group Became Claude AI's Official Voter Information Source
Anthropic announced this week that its Claude AI app will pull official voting information directly from Democracy Works – a Brooklyn-based nonprofit – straight into its answers for American users.
Ask Claude where to vote, what ID to bring, or when polls close, and Democracy Works now supplies the answer.
Anthropic has partnered with Democracy Works since 2024, but this month they escalated: what began as a banner pointing users to TurboVote now appears directly in Claude's replies.
Anthropic knew exactly how much political traffic it was handling before making that choice: the company analyzed roughly 250,000 Claude conversations and found that politics accounts for nearly six percent of everything Americans ask it.
The company insists Democracy Works is nonpartisan – InfluenceWatch has the receipts.
Democracy Works' major donors include George Soros's Open Society Foundations, Pierre Omidyar – a liberal billionaire who has spent millions fighting President Trump – the Knight Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the Democracy Fund, and the Pew Charitable Trusts.
Every name on that list is a fixture of the same left-wing donor network that has been bankrolling Democrat election operations for decades.
Luis Lozada, the CEO of Democracy Works, has not been subtle about where he stands.
Lozada publicly defended the antisemitic campus encampments that swept American universities in 2024, describing the fines issued to Ivy League schools for failing to control the mobs as a "challenge to democracy."
That is the man Anthropic chose to decide what voters learn from Claude.
Google Ran the Same AI Voter Information Play in 2024
Before the 2024 presidential election, Google directed Americans searching for voter registration information straight to Democracy Works' TurboVote service – and The Federalist caught it.
Google's defense was identical to Anthropic's: "nonpartisan," "authoritative," nothing partisan about it.
House lawmakers sent a bipartisan letter in May demanding AI companies explain how they planned to prevent election manipulation – Anthropic's answer was to deepen the Democracy Works partnership.
In 2024, a Democracy Works link was a search result you could scroll past – now it is baked into the answer itself, and tens of millions of people take it as the final word.
If your children or grandchildren ask Claude or ChatGPT where to vote this November, they are getting their answer from a George Soros funded group.
OpenAI is doing the same thing – also partnering with Democracy Works to feed voting information through ChatGPT, which means that nonprofit is now the voter information source for both.
The independent reviews Anthropic itself commissioned found that Claude softens right-leaning arguments more than left-leaning ones – and then the company handed Democracy Works control of voter information 18 days before Election Day anyway.
How Soros Funded Nonprofits Captured the AI Election Information Pipeline
The Left does not need to tell you how to vote.
They need to own the basic mechanics – where to go, what ID to bring, when polls close – and make sure every answer flows through organizations they fund.
Mail-in ballot drives, voter registration pushes in Democrat strongholds, and now a chatbot deciding what your family learns about Election Day – it is all the same operation, run through a rotating cast of Harvard-incubated nonprofits wearing "nonpartisan" like a disguise.
Democracy Works is not an outlier – it is the template, a Soros-funded, Omidyar-backed group that positioned itself as the neutral plumbing of American elections and just got wired into the most widely used search tools in the country.
Democracy Works already powers voter information for Google, TikTok, and Snap in the 2026 midterms – the same left-wing donor network now controls the election information pipeline across virtually every platform Americans use.
Anthropic did not stumble into this – it chose Democracy Works in 2024, renewed that choice in 2026, and timed the upgrade to land less than three weeks before Democrats have a shot at taking back Congress.
There is a word for that kind of coordination: infrastructure.
