Fox News just cut off JD Vance mid-speech at a Republican midterm rally.
Now a Fox News insider is confirming the blackout of Trump is intentional.
And Dick Morris just revealed exactly what that blackout is costing Republicans in Ohio.
Fox News Fired Maria Bartiromo and Banned Trump Rally Coverage Before the Midterms
While Donald Trump is filling arenas across the country, Fox News is making a deliberate choice to keep those crowds off the screen.
A current Fox News host admitted it to CNN, speaking on background.
"This is coming from the top down," the host said. "Trump doesn't rate anymore."
A Fox News employee – at the network built by conservatives, for conservatives – told the liberal media that the most powerful Republican in America doesn't deserve airtime.
"Sad to see that Fox & Friends (Sunday) is not covering our packed house and incredibly enthusiastic (beyond!) Rally that took place in Ohio last night, or the ones in Alabama, Texas, or Oklahoma over the past two days," Trump posted on Truth Social.
Fox cut Vance off after eight minutes at a North Carolina rally, with anchor Sandra Smith telling viewers they'd return "if he starts to make news" – then pivoted to the United Nations General Assembly.
Fox knows exactly what happens when they do air the rallies.
When Trump held his Madison Square Garden event, Fox covered it live – and tripled its ratings in that time slot.
They just don't want to.
This is the same network that fired Maria Bartiromo after she shared internal Fox guidance with White House trade advisor Peter Navarro – guidance that ordered her not to cover Trump's election claims on air.
Navarro took it to Newsmax.
"Fox News is much more dangerous to MAGA, much more dangerous to the Republican Party, because they wear our colors when they're, in fact, helping the other side undermine the president," he said.
He called on the White House to stop sending guests to Fox entirely.
"Why are we feeding them talent anymore?"
Fox has now purged Tucker Carlson, Lou Dobbs, and Maria Bartiromo – three of the most pro-Trump voices the network ever had.
What Fox Is Handing Democrats in Ohio
Dick Morris laid out the direct damage on Newsmax.
"In Ohio we were eight points behind," Morris said. "Now we're two or three behind, and we're catching up. But it's slow. And it's because Trump can't get air time for people to listen to him."
Ohio is JD Vance's old Senate seat.
Senator Jon Husted is fighting Sherrod Brown – a Democrat who already lost his Senate seat in 2024 – for it.
Brown should not be competitive here.
Ohio trended eleven points red in 2024 and threw out Brown once already.
When Fox's conservative audience doesn't see Trump's rallies, doesn't feel the energy in those arenas, and doesn't hear the president personally make the case for Husted – it saps natural momentum for the GOP.
Morris's math is simple: Newsmax has about a third of conservative viewers and is covering everything.
Fox has the other two-thirds and is running silent.
That gap is why Ohio is still close – and it doesn't have to be.
What Democrats Do to Your Healthcare If They Win the Senate Majority in 2026
"If Trump loses Congress, you're basically looking at two years of gridlock," Morris said. "They're going to try to impeach him. Nothing will happen in America. This magnificent economy will absolutely stall out."
"They'll take over health care. You want hip replacement? You're too old. We won't pay for it," Morris said.
Democrats have said this on camera, in committee, and in their own legislation. Bernie Sanders built a career on government-run healthcare rationing and the Squad has pushed it every session since.
The moment they flip the Senate, every legislative win Trump has accumulated becomes a bargaining chip – and healthcare is the ransom.
Fox ran the same play in 2018 – quietly pulling back from rally coverage, slowing live broadcasts, and instructing hosts to monitor rallies and break in only when news warranted it.
Republicans lost 41 House seats that cycle.
Now Fox is doing it again at the worst possible moment, with the Senate majority hanging on a handful of races – and Ohio is the one most likely to decide it.
Fox has decided its own conservative audience is the problem.
The audience is already moving.
Newsmax delivered 4 million viewers during Trump's State of the Union address earlier this year – outpacing the combined viewership of Fox Business and CNBC.
Fox is betting its audience will keep watching no matter what they do to Trump.
