Randi Weingarten kept millions of children locked out of school while she lobbied the CDC behind closed doors.
Now Microsoft just handed her the controls over AI going into every classroom in America.

Microsoft and Teachers Union Built an AI Classroom Deal With Parents Locked Out
The American Federation of Teachers and Microsoft jointly unveiled a "National AI Safety and Privacy Standard" last week – a legally enforceable agreement that takes effect November 1 for every school district already under Microsoft contract.
Parents were not in the room.
Moms for Liberty CEO Tina Descovich reviewed the agreement and reached a blunt conclusion: "Parents were intentionally left out of the equation."
Heritage Foundation research fellow Corey DeAngelis went further.
DeAngelis said AFT passed a resolution calling for AI regulation to "protect racial justice" and prevent inequality – which he called "a bid to bake far-left Marxist ideas into the tools that will sit in classrooms."
He said the only real protection is school choice – breaking "a left-wing government monopoly" that hands "anti-parent teachers unions" direct influence over the technology shaping young minds.
The deal is not a handshake agreement.
Microsoft committed $12.5 million to AFT over five years.
OpenAI added $8 million in cash and $2 million in technical resources.
Anthropic contributed $500,000.
That is more than $23 million flowing from the biggest AI companies on earth directly to a union whose president lobbied the CDC while American children sat home.
GLAAD Wants to Rewrite AI Training Data While Teachers Unions Control the Classroom
The AFT deal is one piece of a coordinated effort to embed left-wing ideology directly into artificial intelligence before conservatives notice it is happening.
Janet Kelly, CEO of the Alliance for a Better Future, sounded the alarm in a statement to the Daily Signal: "Teachers unions and radical advocacy groups aren't waiting. They are already working to pressure tech companies to strangle innovation and inject woke priorities directly into the code."
The American Federation of Government Employees – representing 820,000 federal workers and a reliable Democrat endorser – published model contract language demanding union veto power over AI adoption inside federal agencies.
The language requires agency-wide AI oversight committees with at least equal union representation.
It mandates one-year pilot programs for any AI affecting union members' working conditions before deployment.
It requires that AI hiring systems "reflect all rules applicable to federal hiring" – including diversity goals.
Michael Watson of the Capital Research Center told the Daily Signal the pattern is not new – unions have always fought automation – but applying it to AI would be catastrophic.
"To say giving the union such a veto over federal government technology would be a bad idea is an understatement," Watson said.
Then there is GLAAD.
The LGBTQ+ activist group released a framework in June demanding AI companies "fix the foundation" – meaning rewrite training data and alignment protocols to guarantee what GLAAD calls accurate representation.
The report explicitly criticized Meta's AI for being willing to "articulate both sides of a contentious issue."
GLAAD called that a problem.
Ryan Bangert, senior vice president at Alliance Defending Freedom, told the Daily Signal what that means in plain terms.
"We don't want LLMs to be designed with disputed notions of various contested issues baked into the training," Bangert said. "That's a recipe for censorship."
Bangert warned that GLAAD's push amounts to ensuring "their preferred view of reality is baked into the training in such a way that access to alternative viewpoints is simply unavailable."
AI Censorship in Schools and Federal Agencies While Congress Does Nothing
The Left is not trying to regulate AI from the outside.
They are rewriting it from the inside – at the classroom layer, the federal agency layer, and the foundational model training layer itself.
If Weingarten controls classroom AI, AFGE controls agency adoption, and GLAAD rewrites the training data – conservatives do not need to lose an election to lose the country.
They just need to keep waiting.
The Fair Election Fund already warned Senator Ted Cruz in writing that Microsoft's arrangement with AFT will shape "how the next generation thinks, what they trust, and how they vote."
Congress has held no hearings on the AFT-Microsoft deal.
AFGE has faced no pushback on its federal contract language.
GLAAD's framework has drawn zero public challenge from Republican leadership.
The Left spent thirty years using government schools to drag America toward the radical left.
AI is the next classroom – and they moved in before Republicans found the address.
