Operation Round River and the Declassified Documents Democrats Hoped Would Stay Buried
The White House Government Transparency Task Force, led by journalist John Solomon, published two sets of Trump-declassified records last week exposing a secret FBI counterintelligence operation codenamed Round River.
The operation ran from 2019 straight through the 2020 election – and its purpose was not to protect America from foreign threats.
It was to bury evidence of Biden family corruption.
The FBI's Foreign Influence Task Force divided everyone connected to the Biden-Ukraine scandal into two neat political categories.
Democrats – Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, George Soros – were labeled "targets" of Russian disinformation.
Republicans who dared investigate the truth were labeled something else entirely.
The list included Bill Barr, Mike Pompeo, Chuck Grassley, Ron Johnson, Devin Nunes, Jim Jordan, and Fox News.
The FBI branded them all "conduits" spreading Russian propaganda – not because of evidence, but because they were getting too close to the truth about Burisma and the Biden family's overseas cash machine.
Meanwhile, FBI analysts locked the incriminating Biden files inside an unsearchable "Prohibited Access" system – a firewalled archive that most FBI agents didn't even know existed.
Fourteen confidential human sources gave the FBI derogatory information on Joe Biden, and the bureau locked every word of it away.
Jim Jordan Names the FBI Weaponization Pattern Nobody in Washington Wants to Name
Appearing on Fox News' Sunday Morning Futures, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan said the FBI's weaponization of federal power wasn't a one-time event.
"They ran operations each and every time President Trump was running for office," Jordan told host Jackie DeAngelis.
Jordan walked the timeline from the beginning.
The Clinton campaign hired Perkins Coie, which hired Fusion GPS, which hired foreign operative Christopher Steele, who produced the fabricated dossier. James Comey – knowing it was bogus – took it to the secret FISA court anyway to get a warrant to spy on the Trump campaign.
When investigators started digging into that, Trump fired Comey. The FBI immediately ran an operation targeting Jeff Sessions.
When Congress started uncovering Biden corruption in Ukraine, the FBI launched Round River to smear the investigators as Russian assets.
When that wasn't enough, Jack Smith was deployed as a legal weapon against Trump in 2024.
"It was designed to help Clinton win in '16, Biden win in '20," Jordan said. "And then in '24, Jack Smith was designed to help Biden or Kamala Harris win."
The FBI ran the same operation against Trump across three straight elections.

Kash Patel Shuts Down the FBI Unit Behind the Cover-Up
FBI Director Kash Patel disbanded the Foreign Influence Task Force the day he took over and opened an internal probe into whether Round River was used to kneecap legitimate Biden corruption investigations.
In a letter to the White House task force, Patel wrote:
"While our internal review of the FITF is not yet complete, we are investigating whether the FITF used information learned from the Round River assessment to undermine or influence ongoing investigations."
More documents are coming – thousands of pages.
Patel also pledged to release actual source reporting from all 53 confidential informants the Round River operation identified.
Jordan has already referred Jack Smith to the Justice Department for lying to Congress, along with former CIA Director John Brennan and Round River deputy Thomas Windham.
Crimes were committed inside the FBI. The only open question is who authorized them – and whether the answer leads to Barack Obama's desk.
What a Secret Bureau Op Running Through Three Elections Actually Means
The FBI ran COINTELPRO for fifteen years – a secret domestic intelligence program exposed by the 1975 Church Committee hearings that revealed the bureau had been surveilling, infiltrating, and sabotaging American political organizations with zero legal authority.
Congress promised it would never happen again.
It happened again.
The names on the target list changed. The playbook – secret designations, buried evidence, smearing political opponents as foreign assets – stayed exactly the same.
The difference this time is that Kash Patel has the files.
Senior FBI official Nikki Floris, the Deputy Assistant Director who helped run Round River, was caught on record in September 2020 bragging that she was "basically running a shadow government inside the FBI right now."
Floris wasn't exaggerating.
A sitting Secretary of State got labeled a Russian propagandist in writing, in official government documents, while the FBI buried proof the Biden family was taking foreign money.
And they thought no one would ever find out.
