Greg Gutfeld Called Fired 60 Minutes Host Scott Pelley a Cartoon and Proved It

60 Minutes covered up Hunter Biden's laptop, blamed Joe Biden's mental collapse on a stutter, and spent years telling you the media you trusted was the problem.

Now Bari Weiss fired the whole lot of them – and the people being fired are calling it murder.

Scott Pelley just showed America exactly why CBS needed new management.

Scott Pelley Fired After Ambushing Nick Bilton at CBS Staff Meeting

New CBS News Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss is overhauling 60 Minutes – and the people being replaced are not going quietly.

She brought in Nick Bilton, a technology journalist with no broadcast news experience, as the show's new executive producer.

Bilton called his first all-hands meeting to introduce himself to the staff.

Longtime anchor Scott Pelley used it as an ambush.

He told Bilton he would "never be welcomed" at the show and claimed his qualifications "slender."

And he accused Weiss – who wasn't even in the room – of "murdering" 60 Minutes.

Then someone leaked the audio to the press.

Bilton fired him by end of day, citing "misconduct" and Pelley's "antipathy to the future of the show."

Pelley called Weiss and the new CBS leadership "openly hostile" and claimed they refused to answer his questions.

Weiss told CBS staffers she had tried to "find a way back" with Pelley but couldn't.

Pelley said that wasn't true.

The man who spent decades telling you what to believe can't agree with his employer on what happened in a meeting he attended.

Greg Gutfeld Destroys Scott Pelley on The Five

Greg Gutfeld on The Five didn't need five minutes to explain what happened.

"This guy throws a tantrum in public view," Gutfeld said. "Then he leaks it to everyone to amplify his appearance as some kind of hero. He just looks like a cartoon because he is a cartoon."

That's the whole story.

A man who built a career on gravitas and moral authority – the slow zoom, the furrowed brow, the voice that says this is history – blew up a staff meeting, ran to the press, and played victim because the new owners won't let him run the show.

Gutfeld also named the real indictment – not of Pelley personally, but of what 60 Minutes became under his watch.

YouTuber Nick Shirley broke the largest fraud story in American history that happened in Minnesota.

Fox News’ Bill Melugin did more real border journalism from a helicopter than 60 Minutes managed in a decade.

Michael Shellenberger exposed the homelessness industrial complex in California.

None of them are on 60 Minutes.

Bari Weiss didn't murder the show. The show was already dead.

Dan Rather and Rachel Maddow Rush to Defend Fired 60 Minutes Anchor

The people rushing to Pelley's defense are telling on themselves.

Rachel Maddow called Bari Weiss's appointment a "Hungarian, oligarchic-style takeover."

Dan Rather – the man who tried to end George W. Bush's reelection with forged documents on 60 Minutes Wednesday – signed a letter warning that the "legacy of 60 Minutes" is in jeopardy.

Dan Rather is the legacy of 60 Minutes.

Rather got caught running fabricated records designed to swing a presidential election, lost his anchor chair, and spent twenty years pretending he was the victim.

His answer to Weiss rebuilding the network he helped destroy is to write a letter.

CBS News spent years lecturing Americans about media trust while Leslie Stahl told viewers the Hunter Biden laptop "could not be verified" – days before the election.

Pelley himself, on camera, chalked up Biden's obvious cognitive decline to a childhood stutter.

These aren't journalists who got canceled. They're journalists who got caught.

The Real Record of 60 Minutes Under Scott Pelley

Jesse Watters called 60 Minutes "bloated," "woke," and "stuck in the past."

The culture inside the show spent years treating conservative America as either an enemy or a story to be managed.

Trump sued CBS for $20 billion over the edited Kamala Harris interview on 60 Minutes that was edited to make her appear more coherent.

The same journalists weeping about editorial independence spent years making decisions that cost their network a nine-figure legal settlement.

Bari Weiss didn't kill that trust. Pelley and his colleagues burned it down and handed Weiss the matches as evidence of arson.

Martha MacCallum said that Pelley knew he was getting fired, so he staged a scene to go out with a bang.

The hero of his own story, one last time.

But the audience stopped watching a long time ago.
