John Kerry tells globalists that free speech is a stumbling to power
Democrats have become increasingly hostile to free speech in the digital age.
They can’t win the argument so they’ve turned to silencing their political opponents through censorship.
Failed Democrat Presidential candidate John Kerry took off the mask about what the globalists needed to do to silence their critics.
He told a panel at the World Economic Forum on green energy that the First Amendment was a roadblock to stopping the spread of “disinformation.”
Kerry complained that it was hard to build consensus on issues in the modern age because of disagreements over what the facts are and social media.
“It’s really hard to govern today,” Kerry said. “You can’t — the referees we used to have to determine what is a fact and what isn’t a fact have kind of been eviscerated, to a certain degree. And people go and self-select where they go for their news, for their information.”
The 80-year-old former Senator came of age in an era where the three broadcast networks and newspapers had a monopoly on information.
“So it is really hard, much harder to build consensus today than at any time in the 40-50 years I’ve been involved in this,” Kerry added.
Silencing sources of information that globalists hate
Kerry wished that governments had the ability to drop the hammer of sources of information that ran counter to the official narrative.
“But look, if people only go to one source, and the source they go to is sick, and, you know, has an agenda and they’re putting out disinformation, our First Amendment stands as a major block to be able to just, you know, hammer it out of existence,” Kerry explained.
The point of the First Amendment is to protect Americans from petty tyrants like Kerry and his globalist pals.
Kerry hinted that free speech was on the line in this election.
“Obviously, there are some people in our country who are prepared to implement change in a whole other way,” Kerry stated.
“I think democracies are very challenged right now and have not proven they can move fast enough or big enough to deal with the challenges they are facing, and to me, that is part of what this election is all about,” Kerry continued. “Will we break the fever in the United States?”
Disinformation is just speech that the Left doesn’t like that paints the target for Big Tech censorship and for the media to discredit it.
Hunter Biden’s laptop was smeared as Russian disinformation during the closing weeks of the 2020 Election.
Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, are openly hostile to free speech.
They falsely claim that the First Amendment doesn’t protect against so-called hate speech or disinformation.
Free speech will be one of the first things on the chopping block if Democrats can gain a majority on the Supreme Court.
