The 2024 Republican Primary contest is slowly taking form.

Donald Trump will not have an express lane to the nomination.

And one Laura Ingraham guest made RINOs furious.

Donald Trump currently has a big lead in the Republican primary, but Florida Governor Ron DeSantis officially threw his hat in the ring, which will definitely shake things up.

However RINOs – including, evidently some deep-pocketed donors – are not particularly fond of either candidate.

Coastal RINOs and the D.C. establishment hate Trump, and they don’t like DeSantis, either.

They would much rather prefer a candidate like Nikki Haley or Tim Scott.

But reporter Mollie Hemingway put the donor class on notice that the political landscape has changed, and voters won’t be satisfied with business as usual.

Hemingway appeared with Laura Ingraham, who floated the possibility of another establishment-friendly candidate getting in the race, Virginia Governor Glenn Younkin.

Hemingway responded, “I do think that people should watch Youngkin…It seems like something he has been interested in before, he might wait and see if there is an opportunity to enter later. But it’s also funny how people are talking about DeSantis not doing enough…Nobody wonders what is Nikki Haley or Tim Scott—are their campaigns doing so much better?”

It’s interesting to see the so-called mainstream media gang up on DeSantis because they believe Trump would be easier for Democrats to beat in a General Election.

Elites want Trump to win Primary battles and lose the General

Hemingway added, “But more than anything I think the Republican donor class needs to realize that the Republican party has been changed…That the Republican voters have a huge say in who gets the nomination and whether that person will win the presidency and they are done with as Stephen [Miller] said, so eloquently, they are absolutely done with the failures of that Bush-era Republican policy. They don’t want to have weak people who kowtow to the media, who don’t make conservative accomplishments something they are able to do. And so the Republican donor class needs to get up to speed more than anything.”

Regardless of what happens between Trump and DeSantis, it’s good that the two most conservative and media-savvy politicians are leading the Republican field.

Both Trump and DeSantis know that the corporate-controlled press are downright hostile to Republicans, and they behave accordingly.

While the donor class would love an establishment candidate who won’t rock the boat or embarrass them among their D.C. Beltway friends, the reality is that voters are sick of the RINO candidates.
